I have a contraption that runs the AC flow to the back seat for my toddler. It's so hot and humid out lately that AC is a must and it ends up significantly chilling my camera below the dew point. I've been running medium-warm air through this and I set this up to blow over my camera/bag for a few minutes before I start my night sessionsand it has helped immensely. Allowing the rig to acclimate can help, but it gets tricky when the ambient temperature is already closer to the dew point, and at that point hand warmers are a better option to ensure your camera stays warmer than the air temp.

We are planning to try one of these noggle things.
I've seen them recommended to my friends with small kiddos facing backwards before, and I've seen a few in cars (in parking lots) around town.
If that doesn't work, I'm not sure what the next thing to try will be...make some sort of cover that we can put some freezer packs in, maybe? It's definitely a concern of mine living in Texas.

I've never used either but friends have used similar products and seemed happy with them.
My kids sleep well in the car but we avoid large meals a couple of hours prior to long trips because sometimes they decide to eat their lunch backwards with zero warning halfway through the journey. No amount of wet-wipes can fully eliminate the vomit smell for the rest of the journey!
Do the straps have padded strap covers? Mine came with them, and they help prevent chafing. It’s the safe alternative to a blanket.
I use a carabiner-style seatbelt for my dog and don't do this, but I have seen a seatbelt cover for sale at places like Amazon, or you can make one yourself using a plastic cup.

I'm trying to make one where it blows through the car seat onto the child's back so my kid won't sweat so much. Tint the windows or get more window shades if your trying to decrease the sun.

We had the same issue and just made sure two of the vents were always pointed towards the back seat. We considered getting one of these:

but did not.
You could get some kind of flexible tubing (like a vacuum cleaner tube) and attach it to one of the vents then attach the other end in a way that it points at your child.

I took his pants/shorts off before I put him in and cranked my AC on high with the middle vents pointed towards the back of his carseat. When I could see the air moving the tag on the back that's when I knew I had the right angle. Other than that he grew out of it at about three or so months. I've seen ducts on amazon(https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LXT23RU) that you can put around your vent and the other end goes above the carseat. I don't really have much advice to offer, unfortunately.
