It would be wonderful if you friend gave a bunny in need a good loving home! However, please educate her on how much care the bunnies really need - space, attention, can't be left alone, diet, special exotics vet, etc... I put together a small guide below for new bunny parents that highlights key bunny care points, and has links to good resources on a lot of subjects. It will also have links to bunny housing set ups and how-to, but I'll include some below.

If she does (after doing all the research) make up her mind 100%, may I suggest adopting from a local rescue, which will have tons of benefits - advice and support, likely already spayed/neutered, likely litter trained, the staff knows the bunnies and will help her pick the bunny that would be best for her situation (one who doesn't chew too much, one who would be good for a first time owner with no experience in bunny care). She could even ask the rescue stuff volunteer or foster for a bit to make the transition easier. I really think that a rescue for a first time owner is the way to go for sure.

A bunny would need an enclosure that is at least 4 by 2 ft on on level of space, and then she could even add another level. It is totally doable in studio! However please educate your friend that no matter the set up, she will need to let the bunny explore outside the cage and run free for at least two hours a day. Initially she would have to supervise, but eventually once litter trained and her space bunny proofed, she could just let him free roam her studio and use a baby gate or a deconstructed xpen so sort of fence off the areas where the bunny should not go (i.e. under the desk). She can also use those storage cube assembled into a long grid to place along her baseboards to protect them. Frankly if given enough toys to not get bored a bunny many well not even chew anything like baseboards.

There are lots of videos available out there for how to build a bunny enclosure and set it up, like these:

Here are some housing options to check out in advance... I did so much looking for good enclosures that are also apartment friendly.

https://www.etsy.com/shop/LilFroggyDesigns?ref=l2-shopheader-name&section_id=22454708 - great size options and reasonable price, well made

https://www.etsy.com/shop/DutchElves?ref=l2-shopheader-name – wonderful idea, clean and large, also will protect bunny from other animals in the home, if you have any

https://www.etsy.com/shop/ClearlyLovedPets?ref=l2-shopheader-name - unconventional, but could be a nice large set-up that is also good looking for a modern space

http://www.petwerks.com/condos.aspx - well made, fantastic size to space ratio, a bit on an investment

https://www.amazon.com/MidWest-Foldable-Metal-Exercise-Playpen/dp/B000H8YTJI - good old xpen works every time :)

Another idea here using storage cubes and colorplast you can basically replicate the etsy enclosures https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzS82KZ7ADo

https://www.amazon.com/LANGRIA-Storage-Organizer-Products-Portable/dp/B06XR71YW1?ref_=w_bl_hsx_s_ho_web_13643573011 - if you need more cubes for a larger space they have those too, just look on amazon for 56 panel set

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075H3H3BL/ref=crt_ewc_title_huc_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1ID36P4IX52ZW - blanket I like that is also waterproof for say hardwood floors

Of course having the bunny run free in the apartment is awesome and makes for a happy bunny, but do make sure to bunny proof, especially the wires as they can be really quick to chew on things the second we turn away for a moment. you can try these https://www.amazon.com/Flexible-Polyethylene-Wire-Diameter-White/dp/B00DP35VOO/ref=pd_day0_hl_201_6?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00DP35VOO&pd_rd_r=c021fc64-ba21-11e8-b3e1-116141892cee&pd_rd_w=h8PU9&pd_rd_wg=x0pDz&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=ad07871c-e646-4161-82c7-5ed0d4c85b07&pf_rd_r=W775QYZB2CW29NAJFPZJ&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&psc=1&refRID=W775QYZB2CW29NAJFPZJ

  1. My favorite is Beauty and the Beast. I love that Belle is such a good role model for kids because she loves reading. Plus, the meaning behind the movie is so powerful. And it just so happens that I've been obsessed with this movie since I was like 2. I even saw it on ice! Haha

  2. Something for your WL My dog loves this blanket! And they're super soft!

  3. See ya real soon!

  4. My item

I went to Disney World 6 years ago and holy crap it was amazing!! It was so unbelievable. I think my most favorite thing was trading those pins with employees. I was 16 at the time and I felt like a total kid. I'm going back in January to do the Dopey Challenge for RunDisney! :)

I've got three little monsters! Their names are Bandit, Bubbles & Butters. Bubbles & Butters are both rescues and Bandit was purchased from a farm.

A new fleece blanket for the musketeers would be wonderful! They absolutely love my SO's baby blanket, but I think it's probably time to retire that before it becomes completely destroyed (through love, of course)

I don't have a dog (yet), but my friend purchased this for her dog and she says it's wonderful! I'm not quite sure how it works, since it looks like a hard chew toy but it's bacon flavored, so that must be good, right?
