I had these in blue suede, only stopped wearing them because I spilled oil all over them. Good quality Dr. Martens sole, but I would put an insole inside as the stock one started to come off. I had mine for ten months and wore them several times per week.

I'm wearing the brogue version of these right now. Comfortable but may run a half size large. Waterproof so that can be good for travelling, cannot comment on the durability of the sole yet.

I'm guessing you want a rubber sole for better winter traction? I would go with these timberlands. Don't let the timberland brand scare you off. They're decently (and minimalist) styled and have amazing traction. I have the lace version of these and they're my go to boot for winter in upstate NY

ASOS is dogshit as is Topman, and DOUBLE the price. H&M is $100 for leather chelseas. Again, please do post your $40 chelseas. I agree that shoes can be worthless. These are not. And "hard pass" immediately got 20 upvotes because the price was $40 and the site was walmart. Period.

Dr martens. Slip on kind. Break them in first and like walking on air. Not a very thick boot in the heat either. If you don’t listen to anything anyone says please do not go cheap on boots. Walking on steel for 12 hours will make the hitch very long if your feet hurt the whole time.

What's your budget? Being that you like the look/shape of the Clark's my first instinct in something like Timberland's Chelsea boot, but they aren't cheap.

I live in Seattle and I'm looking for shoes I can walk to work in during the winter. It often rains here, but the rain is almost always very light, and it rarely snows; I think the heavy boots often recommended by MFA for winter would usually be overkill (and not very comfortable to walk in).

I've been trying to look for boots with a slimmer profile, but it's hard to tell how well they'd handle continuous light rain. Would these Chelseas hold up? If not, what styles/brands should I be looking for? Fortunately, budget isn't much of an issue, although I'd prefer something in the $200 range.

I've been seeing these consistently 70-90 CAD at varying sizes the last few months. I think these are just their 'regular' price on amazon. I returned a pair of these exact same boots to amazon earlier this month. There seems to be a lot of non-1000 mile Wolverines on amazon going for fairly low prices.
