There's a more sophisticated book on hand sewing for tailors. It's good, but it's basically a pamphlet, and as such, is rather expensive. You may be able to borrow it from a library.

I love this book. I saw it in a bookstore and turned every page. It's probably too complex for right now, but it could serve as an inspiration or provide projects you could work on with him.

Dud- a Little Tikes piggy bank. My 3 year old kept asking for a real piggy bank like her musical one. They don't make them anymore and I had to create an ebay account just to buy it. I thought it would be a huge hit. She played with it for 2 minutes, couldn't get the bottom open, then has ignored it ever since.


Surprise hit: A couple of books on where things come from. They've been requested every night since they were opened. Example.

In high school/early college, I found Lauren Conrad's Style and Derek Blasberg's Classy to be very helpful in understanding basics and creating your own sense of style, personality- and wardrobe-wise.
