  1. The rocker glider we got off of craigslist for $100. Super comfortable and clean! Way better than the old Windsor one I had that broke within a month. I’m not sure the brand but it’s very good quality and the folks we bought it from said it was from a friend’s furniture store.

  2. The crib and dresser set were $150 for the pair, also bought off of craigslist. Amazing score! They’re both Delta products. The changer topper was bought off amazon to hold the pad in place:

  4. I couldn’t find the link to the storage cubes for some reason, but it was a SONGMICS 6-cube storage rack, also bought off amazon. The cubes were separate:

I absolutely love this piece with the art we also bought off amazon above it. The frames were from dollar tree! We use the cubes to store his blankets, extra changing pads, pump materials, toys, extra bottles and pacifiers, etc.

We originally wanted to do a space and elephant themed room, then changed it to animals and space, then changed it to a general sky theme. These pictures are from yesterday when we finally finished, a day before our c section we were just surprised with! Due to complications this ended up being our best option, I’m sitting in the waiting room right now trying not to think about how thirsty I am, haha. Pictures and birth story are soon to come of our baby boy Isaac! 😊

Edit: ignore the plain gray sheet on the twin bed, that will have a comforter set on it soon for my seven year old daughter who will be joining us part time in a couple months. It’s hard to see in the photos but we put some glow stars over her bed, and my mother will be making her a sheer canopy to hang over as well.

Ahhhhh OP. My eyes.

Ok, so here's my advice as I just went through something similar recently. I had to run a Cat6a cable into my room as I wasn't getting the speeds I wanted over wifi because the walls in my apartment are plaster so it cuts the speed like 50%.

There are some great tools out there that I think could help you manage the cabling in the room, but there are also some simpler tricks as well.

You have a ton of empty space on the bottom of your tv stand. There's a few options you could go here. You could get some nice wooden or storage inserts like [these] (https://www.amazon.com/MobileVision-Storage-Durable-Handles-Stackable/dp/B076CWK7R5/ref=sr_1_15?keywords=wooden+storage+box&qid=1565625552&s=gateway&sr=8-15) but bigger. I cant remember exactly where I got mine from but I believe it was Bed Bath and Beyond, they're more square and slightly bigger. There's a ton of options for those, that way you fill that empty space with usable storage, which will also help you hide the wires behind the tv stand.

The other recommendation I have to go with that is a power strip on the floor behind those storage boxes, that way everything can plug into the strip, and only one plug will need to run to the wall outlet rather then multiple.

If you didn't want to go that way, there are these super useful adhesive cable organizers that I used for my Cat cables. Now I'd recommend measuring beforehand, the length you need, and also how thick your cables are so you can figure out how big of an organizer you'll need.

But these are the ones I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004W3ZQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

These should be ok, but again make sure you double check if you need a thicker one. The great thing about these is that they can be painted to match your wall, personally I just stuck them on the molding near the floor so it looks like it's a part of it.

It definitely doesn't look that unorganized, and personally, I think your easiest fix would be putting some organizers under the tv stand so it blocks the view of all those cables. Because you don't have a ton of cables to begin with either, just an amp, tv, and playstation and a cable running from the left side as well.

LOL.

It depends on yarn and space and money available.... I would send photos, but I don't have any. I keep an old shelf that I lay across the top of the rack, which makes a nice top.

Skeins work well on the [rack] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007ELALZC/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and the bookshelf, they lay nicely. These work well for the big/oversized/super saver style.

I hate the filing cabinet, but it was free/family. It's just heavy (drawers) because they are stuffed.

The toters are nice to large amounts of specific yarn (ie baby yarns)

Oh, and I have under the bed storage, which works well for balled/ball winder lots of yarn as well as hanks and skeins

The rack is nice because you can make it fit your space.

I have heard amazing things about this unit bc it keeps dust out.

I love the pegboard look, but I don't want to wind every hank or skein right away. I have toyed with a section or few of these with a mix of baskets & pegs This is another site that I was looking at....basically any grid wall, and I am totally okay with used... especially when it's cheaper lol

Sorry for so much info, but yeah, it depends on a few things : )

Hiya! I'm a first-time owner as well. I have about 1 1/2 month of experience so far with my young cavies but have done extensive research on our new family members to ensure they are well taken care of.

Young guinea pigs should have alfalfa pellets with vitamin C-infused, 5lb Oxbow young guinea pig pellets bag will run you 15$ at petsmart. Amazon reviews on adult guinea pig oxbow but same goes for young, but make sure you get the suited one for Alfonso age

you can either make your own fleece bedding with a sewing machine or purchase them from etsy or the mention guineapigcages.com, I picked up a sewing machine on offerup for 30$ and roughly 20$ on fleece & U-Haul moving pads (approx $10) i self-taught myself + youtube on making them, now I'm making cuddle cups with pee pads with leftover fabric which I highly recommend because being pooped on or peed on is kinda a mood killer.

My cavies don't like being chase around the cage to be picked up but once they are in our arms they are all for the cuddles, I recommend either getting a shoe box with a cut out or a fleece tunnel put it inside and when you go to pick them up they will run inside and you can easily transport them out and into your hands or play pen. Handle your guineas every day for at least 15 minutes. try to hand feed them so they get to associate you & your hands as something positive.

More info below!:

I used this gel: https://www.amazon.com/Dri-Splendor-Silica-Gel-10233/dp/B077GVZ1ML *I bought 2 bags at a chain craft store, but the cashier only rang up one. I went back in when I realized what happened and they just told me to keep the second bag and thanked me for my honesty. So I had two bags but only paid for one.

This Tupperware bin: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PG0DUZQ/

And this shadow box: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NASEI8Y/

The night of the wedding I kept my bouquet in water in a vase. The following afternoon when we got to our “mini moon” Airbnb I set up the flowers in the gel. I put a small layer of silica, then a few flat leaves of greenery, then another layer of gel, then my bigger blooms. For the flowers that were more open, I tried to fill them with gel and then place them in the container on their side so that they’d maintain their shape. Otherwise I mostly laid them face down. This might have smushed them a little flat, but I didn’t mind because that’s how I wanted them displayed in the box. I just did layers of flowers and gel until the bin was full. I’d say it took about half of my bouquet, using all the big blooms that weren’t super super delicate (I just tossed those super super delicate ones because they’d fall apart), and almost all of the tougher smaller blooms. I cut the heads off each flower leaving a tiny bit of stem to use as a small handle.

I let the bin sit for about 2.5 weeks. Then I opened the bin and spooned gel back into the bags it originally came in. I was really careful to do it slowly and carefully so that I wouldn’t damage the flowers. They’re very brittle and delicate, but sturdy enough that I could unearth most of the bloom by spooning the gel around it, then pulling up on the bit of the stem that I left. I dug out all of the flowers before placing them in the box. The annoying thing is that little beads of gel get into the crevices of all the flower petals, so I used a toothpick to fully remove all the beads, but even still missed a few.

Once I had them all out, I arranged them in the box, trying to pack them densely enough that when I moved the box to stand it upright, they wouldn’t shift. I ended up clipping some bits from the other bouquet that I hang dried (upside down, in a room with little/no sunlight, 2.5 weeks) to fully fill it. It was really nice to have that extra bouquet to use for filler so I’m really glad I brought a bridesmaid bouquet home too. Most of my flowers were on the smaller side because I wanted a lot of texture in my bouquet. It probably helped that all of my blooms were on the smaller/shorter side...if you have larger blooms you may need to squash them more, put them on their side, or just use a deeper box.

I made this. The dimensions aren’t perfect but might help see a different way. https://imgur.com/a/XHTquaV so just some thoughts. Move things up walls for space. The glass enclosed dresser doesn’t look easily used. Move the desk over into the corner and move the tall dresser were the glass front one is. The chest and case on it are rough and not very functional. I’d get them out at least while figuring everything out. If you can add shelves or cubes above your side table that would add space. They would need to be screwed in. If you can’t then skip that. Hanging laundry baskets or use a shelf with a couple storage bins to toss laundry in. Depending on measurements possibly something like this on the glass front furniture. C&AHOME Cube Storage Organizer, 8- Cube DIY Plastic Closet Cabinet, Modular Book Shelf Organizer Units, Storage Shelving Ideal for Bedroom Living Room Office with Doors, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XFHW6LK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_fX7RDbR8FS51M shelves with storage cubes, containers or such is another option. Add shelves above the desk. Again bins, tubs, cubes even paper organizers can be used. Dollar stores can give extra options. Don’t consider things exclusive. I needed a closed container to hold chopsticks. I bought a pasta container. Think about how to move things up. Think about how you like things for ease. I like doors but for example some cubes come with or without drawers. Under the bed- I’d consider it storage. It doesn’t look convenient day to day. Under there you want to put this. DampRid FG60FS Moisture Absorber, Fresh Scent, 10.5-Ounce, 2-Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CBLW1MQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_L37RDb41XX5VS put reminders in your phone and empty it every few days until you know how much water it absorbs. You replace the crystals every so often. Keep it away from pets. Damp rid will grab tons of moisture but while you’re checking everything out make sure you don’t see signs of a pipe leak. Mold, soft walls, moisture and bad smells pay attention to. Other type cube options but not this brand ClosetMaid 8937 Cubeicals Organizer, 9-Cube, Espresso https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001UU0NJW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_G87RDbVTHK1NV

Whitmor Storage Cubes - Stackable Interlocking Wire Shelves - Black (Set of 6) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007ELALZC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_Y77RDbMDF1414

There’s also things like this if you have space. SIMPDIY Portable Shoe Rack Storage Organizer Shoe Box Storage System with Doors, Shoes,Accessories - Black (2x6 with Boots Cube 93x126x108cm/37x15x50In) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PZ6K548/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_3-7RDbVY3FSB5

Don’t forget what you choose should work for you. So even something like kids toy storage might work better for some. Like this. Tot Tutors WO498 Elements Collection Wood Toy Storage Organizer, X-Large, Grey/Blue/Green/Yellow https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07638ZJQY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_.b8RDb5P0ZMB6 or this Delta Children Deluxe Multi-Bin Toy Organizer with Storage Bins , Grey/Blue https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074PY2ZGS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_Gc8RDb9CTVC9T there’s stuff like this. LANMOK 3pcs Hanging Mesh Storage Basket Foldable Space Saving Toy Organizer with 3pcs S Hooks for Kids Room Bathroom Wall Balcony Wardrobe https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H9VBKW6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_yd8RDbW8NAFWA

Basically storage needs to go up. Bed drawers don’t work in large rooms so use for storage. Put damp rid out. Make sure no leaks. For me the idea is enclosed. Choose what works for you. Don’t forget if the idea of doors on storage cubes don’t work for you that you can use a curtain to cover it if you don’t want others to see. The idea is finding what works for you. If you move things and have a wall space open buy taller items. I’ve been redoing a smaller space so feel free to ask if you need some other suggestions.

Edit another idea is move that wood dresser to the window like in diagram, glass one next to it and cubes where the wood one is now.

u/3mil_mylar · 2 pointsr/stencils

my tek:

  1. Belton Molotow Premium. By far my fav paint for stencils. Low pressure, super fine pigments, dries fast, mad coverage, 4-steel peas for superb mixing, dope screamer colors, interchangeable caps, can't say enough good things about this paint. It never fails -- you can spray it drunk. Belton Color Chart, pdf

  2. You shouldn't need thin layers if you are using good low-pressure high-pigment paint. I only use multiple passes when i'm using watered-down Krylons, which luckily isn't often.

  3. Matt for indoors, almost always. Gloss paint glares when lit by multi-point lighting such as indoors. Plus matt dries faster.

  4. Open window + respirator with OV cans and PF slippers when spraying. Get a cheap ghetto booth for overspray

  5. Like many others here, I don't bother. My canvases don't get a lot of abuse

  6. Not familiar with stencil brushes, but with good tack adhesive and good paint, you should be able to get supercrisp edges every time.

The biggest tip I can give you is get good low-pressure paint. I'm partial to Beltons, but had good luck with Mtn94's as well. You'll be surprised how much difference it makes.

u/madkow77 · 2 pointsr/turtle

Hi! So nice what you are doing for the little guy :)

My suggestion is to find a small plastic container, like tupperware or rubbermaid, to put the blind one in when feeding.
I don't know if you feed separate from your tank or not, but I think it makes maintenance a whole bunch easier.

The container you get for the blind one should be big enough for him to move around in and deep enough so his shell is fully submerged. Take some water from your tank and put it in the container. Place some food in the container. If pellets but a bit more than you usually would. Also try some greens like collared greens, never lettuce (no nutrients), turtles do have a sense of smell.
With a smaller container your blind one will be be able to find his food a bit easier.
It sounds like you have others as well. I would suggest feeding them in a separate container as well. Big enough for all of them to move around in and deep enough so they can feed. Remember turtles eat underwater.
I do this with my turtle and makes it easier to clean out the main tank and any other maintenance.
I would suggest no more than 1 hour in a separate container. Basically whenever they stop eating. Bonus is when they actually poop in the separate container. Dump and rinse out the container when done.

Wasn't sure of your experience so was trying to cover as much as I could.

Example of container I use for one 8 inch(ish) length turtle.

u/ZangiefThunderThighs · 5 pointsr/konmari

Marie recommends that you use any existing storage systems that you already have, and if you don't have any make them (tissue boxes, bottoms of milk cartons, taped together cardboard, etc...). This allows you to organize renting as you go through the konmari process. At the end you'll have a good understanding of what you have and what you you'll need.

That said, I've noticed an increase in advertising of organization/storage items in Amazon recently.

Photo boxes are nice as they provide a nice subdivision of dresser drawers and are pretty. I've recently purchased some storage bins from MDesign.

In the past, I've also found lots good variety, especially for smaller bins, the dollar store.

u/Markarther · 1 pointr/Christianity

For the box itself I like using a plastic box (like this) instead of a cardboard one. It’ll last longer so it’s like an extra gift itself. I get especially excited when I can find a color besides clear with a white lid!

Other things I’ve included are things like tennis balls and jump ropes.

Also, a personal note is great to include!

u/heinzenfeinzen · 3 pointsr/UTAustin

Best way to maximize the space is to deck the bed on the highest level and put the desk and dresser underneath. If you are short, you might want a storage trunk or maybe a storage ottoman (double duty as storage and seating) at the bottom of the bed to help climb up.

The shelf on the top of the closet has a lot of vertical space so you can use that by stacking plastic tubs maybe with things you use less often? For example, if you bring winter clothes in August, put them in a plastic tub on that shelf and stack them up high.

We tried to use one of those closet rod extenders that hangs down from the top rod (like these: https://www.amazon.com/DecoBros-Adjustable-Hanging-Closet-Chrome/dp/B00HLSWPWU/ref=sr_1_8?crid=1G3Z725Q7LBV4&keywords=closet+rod+extender&qid=1564489544&s=gateway&sprefix=closet+rod+ex%2Caps%2C194&sr=8-8) BUT it did not work. The vertical spacing overall was too short and the clothes at the top hit the lower rod.

On the clothes: you really should pare down what you bring. The more you bring in, the more you will have to bring out. Are you really going to wear all of the things you want to bring or are you going to end up like most students in the "student wardrobe" of shorts/sweats and the free t-shirts you will accumulate.

We waited until we moved in to make "decisions" about what other things to buy and then made a run to Target (not the one on campus) to pick up things like command hooks, storage do-dads, etc.

u/Grundelwald · 1 pointr/vinyl

I recommend these modular cubes on Amazon. The modular system is nice because you can easily grow. I currently have 4 blank cubes, one doored one (with extra sleeves, brushes, etc inside), and a 2 drawer one which holds my video games, cords and other random junk. You can fit around 50 records in one of the cubes, maybe a little more if you don't have many gatefolds or double LPs. 12" records fit inside the doored cube just fine.

I think these are better than the Kallax cubes. They have backs and they are more customizable.

u/moxiousmissy · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I've got a fair amount of gear and what's worked for me is a portable closet and a large, see through garment bag. I didn't install the cross rod and hang the garment bag which falls to the bottom. Clothes are hung and a few backpacks and a sleeping bag go in on the bottom. Enough room underneath for a few lightly folded tents. Boots on top and other gear on the sides. I keep a couple of other bags and sleeping pads laid flat under my bed. It's worked perfectly for me.

Yea Target. It is pretty cheap quality. I got it last year maybe and I already had to use a little gorilla glue here and there on it. I bought this new one for myself on amazon. This looks great and I don't want to discredit op by any means. But if anyone else needs more closet space, for half the price you could get double the space and put in 100% less effort for something like this.

But again, OP that's sick and looks great though. Just offering advice if anyone is looking for something similar.

There are a lot of things like that, and they vary a lot in terms of price and visual style: closet organizer, closet shelving system, closet kit, shelf cube storage... Hopefully one of those is along the lines of what you were looking for.

I recently saw this and thought it would have been perfect back when I was in student housing. Add a few baskets for the shelves maybe a hanging shoe rack.

I've seen a lot of really neat stashes organized on bookshelves or cube shelf/oraganizers. They look fantastic, I don't use this method because I've got a one year old who likes to steal yarn and unwind the skeins. So currently all of my yarn is thrown into a large storage tub that clamps shut.
I also haven't used my ball winder in a long time because the spawn has stolen and hidden the power cord. But when I had ball winder balls that seemed weak, I'd throw them in a sandwich baggy, that way if they did collapse they wouldn't get tangled with everything else in my stash.
