How awesome are you! The big question is: what's your budget!?
A couple reactions to your list: honestly if she is just starting out, this brush set is OK (not great, but OK). It does seem to have a lot of eye/detail brushes and not a lot for base. The thing is, she won't know what brushes she's in love with until she tries out a bunch. If she's into it, then she might want to buy better quality brushes in the kind she likes. I'm saying this also because I'm a mua and I use brushes kind of unconventionally and I find a lot of mu enthusiasts/pros are the same way (example--it might say "crease" brush, but I'll use it for buffing out concealer or smudging eyeliner). She won't know until she tries a bunch of different kinds, so I think getting a variety of inexpensive brushes isn't a bad idea. It also depends on the face she's working on?
You might want to splurge on one kinda decent set, too, though if you're saving a ton of money getting a more inexpensive set. This one might be good to start BUTTTTTTT if you have a TJMaxx near you DEFINITELY go check it out. You can get surprisingly decent brush sets there for a great price--you also might be able to feel them before buying to check them out. I got that RT eye brush set for, like, $7.99 or something.
The brush/sponge cleaner--If I were you, I'd save some $$ by just getting a baby shampoo or Dr. Bronner's soap. (Not to say that Eco Tools one is super pricey, but if she's washing her brushes as much as she should, she may run out quick). In my kit, I use Parian Spirit or Cinema Secrets, but it's kind of $$$. If I'm running low, I'll use baby shampoo because it's super gentle. For lip brushes or special fx makeup stuff, I'll even use Dawn. The silicone brush cleaner is a cool gadget, but be warned it can wreak havoc on brushes (esp. cheap brushes!)
The organizer is a good idea and it's cute, but the only thing is that type are kinda tricky in that they don't really hold that much. If she is really getting into it, maybe something more versatile? I'm obsessed with Muji organizers, but $$$. WAIT, just checked and they're having a sale: http://www.muji.us/store/health-beauty/makeup/makeup-storage-box.html
They are wonderful because they are SUPER versatile and all kind of fit together, so you can make your own little set up.

OK, I'm going to bed, haha! Have fun, you are an amazing sister and whatever you get her will be cherished.
Hey there! I know this isn't exactly what you were looking for but hopefully it'll help all the guys n gals looking to get their ladies the ultimate beauty station! As a professional makeup artist for MAC, Chanel and multiple other brands plus freelancing for years I have gotten many ideas over the years!
Be sure to get her plenty of storage if she has a lot of products and tools. Amazon/ Ebay also sell an electric brush cleaner now which is perfect for gals with a ton of brushes. My bro-in-law did the same project & I still have all the links. He installed lights (like these below) around my beauty-obsessed sister's makeup mirror & they're great. I also recommend a mirror that pulls out from the wall (like hotels have!) And a comfy & stylish chair is a must to make her feel like her fave beauty vlogger. Also, get crafty- you can always think of other ways to use these ideas for ex: instead of buying new, repurpose some cool vintage pieces!

Well, since you're asking for ideas:
If you mean while walking, I've been toying with the idea of attaching them my belt.
Here's what it looks like at the moment: Imgur (Edit: here's my new favourite: Imgur)
Right now, the carabiners are a bit too small and I'm not sure how long the belt loops will hold with all that weight hanging from them. I also feel like it would be more comfortable if I could have them a bit more backwards rather than perfectly to my sides as well as distributing the load more evenly onto the belt. To this effect, I have ordered these, but still haven't received them : ebay-link
I also though about threading a key ring through the 'j' on the JMK logo to catch with some kind of quick-release mechanism attached to my belt (or use the 'j' directly): example1, example2, example3, example4
These pull-appart ones that clip together and separate when you press the button would probably be the best if there is a way to permanently attach them the frame where they don't move around. However, I'm not sure if the small balls locking them can take the weight: ebay-link
Well, this is all quite theoretical at the moment as I've really only done a little bit of walking around like this, but since I can only skate in short bursts on the smooth parts of my commute and don't like to hold them in my hands the rest of the time, I hope to perfect it in the future.
If you meant storing them once you're done walking, I have a small cloth bag with drawstrings that has some padding to it (less noisy I think, especially when putting it on the ground) that I can either carry by hand or tie closely to the handle of my backpack. Something like this (though the stitches on this one look fragile).
Of course, any cloth bag will do but for the record, mine has a bottom diameter of 17cm and height of 25cm (or 23?) and it's a perfect fit. But maybe a thin cloth bag that can disappear in your pocket when empty might be even better for you.
Edit: Another idea (the simplest) is to have two loops of thin rope attached to the handle of your backpack, and hang your skates from them like this: Imgur (PS: the rope in this picture is waaaaay too thin and gets stuck between the spacer and the frame, so you would need something a bit bigger -- and better looking as well. Also, please don't take my knots as examples...). The loop needs to be a certain size for this to work, and that size is too big to be comfortable when hanging from your belt (too low) but this shouldn't be an issue with a backpack.
I'd also like to insist on how incredibly stable this is (at least with the frame of the JMK), but you could even add a double cord lock to the loops to be 100% sure that the skates cannot move.
The same idea could be used to hang the skates deck facing the sides of a messenger bag by having small loops of rope either going around the straps or tied to the same metal bit where the straps connect.
I’m in my second week of invisalign and here’s what I’ve ended up with in my little travel case...
Hope that helps!
Happy happy cake day! And thanks for this contest! I had a lot of fun doing this!
20.It's cheap and it smells like heaven!
I'm in the middle of a 6 week trip to both Uganda (for work) and India (for fun but super hot and humid!) and I packed by taking two bags. One is a 3-compartment travel makeup bag (this but a different color) which I divided into essentials like shampoo/toothpaste skincare, makeup-items, and then misc. items like tweezers, hand lotion etc. In my other bag (a Clinique gift bag) I stored my larger items like sunblock, deodorant, etc.
I think the important thing is to figure out what is super essential to you. And what makeup/skincare do you really need to feel great. These days I basically just count on lipstick changes to add variation, but use the same base every day. Don't take things that may be finnicky or need extra 'help' in order to look good. Just your die-hards. Also leave stuff home when you start saying 'I might need this'... no you won't use it and it'll just take up space!
Cheapest is a set of floral pencil cases for $2.50. I have several mugs and cups that I keep around my apartment now to hold pencils and pens, but a softsided case would be nice to have to carry with me. Plus they're pretty.
Most expensive is the LEGO City Arctic Base Camp at $92. I just think it looks like a fun set with a lot of play value! I would like to get it someday when I have more fun money to burn.
Thank you! :D Here is my bright birthday look!
If I win first place, I would love this brush because I think nicer brushes could really help my eyeshadow game, so I've been wanting to slowly replace my old ones. :)
If I were to win second place, I think these would be fabulous because I always carry my lipstick of the day around in my pocket, and it would be great to have a case with a mirror with me!
Omg so many things. I went way overboard but a few of my absolute favorites...
Place cards for our rehearsal dinner and head table (OBSESSED with both of these!!)
Table numbers (as you can tell, we had a sea glass theme going)
earrings for the bridesmaids (these were a bit of a splurge but PERFECT and so beautiful and matched our color scheme/bridesmaids dresses PERFECTLY)
card for my groom, parents, bridesmaids, etc.
hangers for myself and bridesmaids - these turned out beautiful; loved the laser engraving
tshirt/tank combo for the day after brunch (usually these are apparently for bachelorette parties, but they were a huge hit for a married duo!)
guest book alternative (we framed our invitations, but may swap out for a wedding photo in the future)
honeymoon bathing suit from Amazon
Bridesmaids gifts (proposal/bachelorette/day of/etc.): circle towel, makeup organizers, travel mugs
Bonus - Superheroes don't wear capes. I'll take mine in the form of a rough around the edges demon hunter who loves pie. And who might also be about 4 inches tall in this case and can easily fit in my pocket for entertainment purposes of course. ;]
(Already posted a Mischief Managed, so do I need to do it again? Or is this good?)
I have this thing and I am loving it so far.
https://www.amazon.com/Hotrose%C2%AE-Professhional-Large-Space-Makeup/dp/B01CZSNOLG
Clearly it's not going to be constructed as well as the bags you shared above, and I don't have complete confidence in the zippers, but I love that I can stand it up on a table and work right out of it. When I'm done, I just lay everything back down and zip it up. I used to dig through bags whole working on clients, and then shuffle through bags putting everything away, and then reorganize everything before my next gig. No more! I haven't used a Zuca system, but even that seems like more work than just grabbing straight out of my pack, putting it straight back, and never having to reorganize.
A couple caveats: it does not fit everything I need. I have way too many brushes for that thing, so I use the brush compartments for lip liner, mascara, anything skinny. I also can't fit my eye palettes in there either. This isn't an issue for me because I carry an airbrush as well, so I've abandoned all hope of fitting all my stuff in a small bag anyway. I have a bigger wheel bag for transporting my airbrush, compressor, bushes, palettes and randoms (brush cleaner, airbrush foundations, etc.). The organizer is more for workflow, and it's definitely made a huge difference.
Another thing to keep in mind is that, if you do weddings, you will almost certainly want an airbrush (I don't prefer airbrush, but it's not worth losing clients who have their hearts set, plus you are losing money from that upsell). If and when you get an airbrush, you'll need something to carry that in anyway.
I take occasional weeklong trips out of state, here is my travel kit:
I keep it all in an Amazon makeup bag that can hang from a hook.
Edit: If I were only packing for a weekend I would probably bring:
We traveled for the first time at 11 months, and only about two weeks after we started sleep training. Since he was older we felt comfortable buying a pack n play mattress off of amazon. It folds up so it makes it easy to transport or check when you fly. We put a pack n play sheet over the mattress and then under the mattress that comes with the pack n play to hold it all together. He was able to sleep just fine in the pack n play. The first night was a little rough, but he had just flown for 8 hours and didn’t sleep much on the plane. We had to position the pack n play in a space where he couldn’t see us sleeping in the bed at the same time. We didn’t do any practice beforehand and just decided to wing it. We traveled again at 15 months and he had zero issue napping and sleeping in the pack n play.
With the 4 hour road trip, it all depends. You’ll probably want to stop half way and let her out for a bit. My son does great in the car and we took a road trip a few months ago and he puked everywhere because I think he got car sick. We made sure to stop every couple hours and it didn’t happen again. Also a fun activity is to get a clear bag like this and put a few car toys or soft objects in it. Then hand it to them and they’ll spend about 10 minutes pulling things out and playing with them. Then you fill it back up with new toys or the same toys and they do it again.
My day is going pretty blah so far. I just made a nice cup of tea and I'm going to settle in with a podcast to get some work done so that's a picker upper.
This week I hope to accomplish organizing all of my makeup and finally making my own battle station in our study (which is currently being used for storage).
Three things just for me? Well I just got a forgotten paycheck from teaching yoga classes so with that money I am:
Boom!
Thanks for hosting! I love these flash contests!
Happy cake day!!!
1 Rubber spatulas that I would use to mix up my cake, or icing colors which I use to die icings for cakes I make!
2 This one is a stretch but portal socks because Simon Pegg did voices for video games...and Portal is a video game!
3 I don't have any books on my WL. :P but.... I'd like to read this bag while I devour it's contents!
4 Mixing bowls. My SO tends to eat his cereal out of the few I have now >.<
5 Gecko food for our gecko! It even has a picture of one on the label!
6 Purple socks or purple nail polish!
7 Portal companion cube!
8 My (not so guilty) pleasure.
9 Pocket knife!

No pictures because I'm not home, but I have 3 of these little, stackable sterlite containers, 3 large z-palettes, one of these acrylic organizers that fits nicely onto of the sterilite drawers, & a brush bag to hold my brushes that I rarely use but can't seem to part with. Any pressed powder that I could de-pot & place in the z-palette, I did, which really help towards space saving. I also have done multiple de-clutters over the past year, in order to get rid of colors that were too similar or products that I didn't really like/use. I managed to get my collection down to fit everything in these storage containers, including my brushes/tools that I use daily. Everything except my brush bag fits on 1 shelf in my bathroom cabinet (I have built in set up just like this), & I place the bag in a drawer that has a bunch of necessary, but rarely used things, so it's accessible, but out of the way. I share a house with my cousin, so I have a 1 shelf/2 drawer limit with no counter space to speak of. If I can't fit my stuff neatly into my designated space, I have to get rid of things. Unfortunately, I don't have a proper vanity; I have 7 dogs & their beds/crates take up all the spare space (& then some) in my bedroom. It's a sacrifice I'm more than happy to make.
go to sleep madysan!!
This amazing makeup bag for like 3 bucks! It looks like an awesome deal and i desperately need it for my upcoming trip! Thanks for the awesome contest :D
Mmmm Strawberry bubblegum. Arguably the best flavor.
I could really use something like thisto organize my makeup, but it is an add on item, and you're purchase may not be over $25. In which case I really need a new gel liner.
Thanks for the contest, lovely! :)
Disclaimer- this is more a post about durable, travel-friendly makeup bags than pretty ones.
I travel for work at least every other week and have a lot of makeup. I got really sick of using those "2-dimensional" bags that make you fish around for each products.
I currently use the Herschel Supply Co. chapter travel kit. I feel like it's a good compromise between being durable, large, but not hideous. It's also cheaper than other "makeup-specific" pouches than I've seen of similar quality. When unzipped, it opens very wide and I'm able to find things easily. I have it in the polka dot colorway.
On a sillier note, i picked this up from Costco for $15. It's the most ridiculous thing but is actually amazing for travel. I'm able to scoop everything up and just spread it out on hotel bathroom counter when I get in. I'm a bit of a germaphobe and it makes me feel better to my makeup and brushes on something- rather than directly on the counter top.
My son had no interest in screens until he was close to 2. We took quite a few road trips and flights where we needed to entertain him without screens.
Some ideas we did are:
Get a bunch of new toys. Things like silicon straws, plastic animals, stacking cups, toy cars, baby doll, squigz and other fat brain toys. Don’t introduce them until the car ride.
Get a see through makeup bag like this. Fill it up with toys and then hand it to them and watch as they pull everything out. Then once everything is out, full it up and try again. Then try it with different toys. Then try it part way zipped up or all the way zipped up.
Board books with touchy freely pages like jellycat books.
Snacks
Nice, your first contest! That must be exciting. I like the peculiar cost limit of $5.51, it's interesting :)
Coolest thing on my wishlist for under the target price is a handy dandy purse organizer, since my purse is always in a constant state of disarray!
Edit: It's late, I'm completely derping stuff here :c
What about something like this?
I would swatch the lipsticks on paper to put in the front of each pocket to help find what I was looking for easier. (Like if I had 4 lipstick in one pocket, kiss a piece of paper with each shade and label them and stick them in that pocket)
I hope I explained that easily, it sounded great in my mind but when I went to type it got all jumbled. lol

Sorry that you are having grumpy day so I will give you a super cute picture so you can be less grumpy :D
Here is a cute organizer I would like.
I will occasionally read ^and^write fan fiction. It's so bad, but I can't help it. I also look at wedding stuff and nurseries, even though I'm no where near marriage or babies (I don't even have a prospect of having a boyfriend at the moment).
this if I win :)
Thanks for the contest!
I use this one (caution! affiliated links):
a roll-n-go organizer. This is easy to fit everything and put it in the luggage.
But if you're not travelling by plane, something like this is useful.
I have Good news. So excited!! This is definitely positive :D
Linky.
I love animals too!
I like "hawkward"...saw it on some animal pic a while back and it triggered my funny bone.
purse organizer cause mine is a hot mess
I'm in! So exciting, thanks for the contest!
My husband uses an old Jansport Backpack and swears it's as good as any diaper bag. I use smaller clear pouches inside the backpack to keep things organized - one for diapers/wipes/chux pad, one for spare baby clothes, one for bottles and formula, one for food/snacks/wipes/bib (now that he's older), one for medical stuff, and one for teethers/toys.
Since a lot of other people already recommend makeup items, what about makeup brushes, makeup bags, nail polishes, or nail art tools? All of these below have free shipping

I have a different version of [this](https://smile.amazon.com/Lay-n-Go-Cosmo-Cosmetic-Bag-Black/dp/B00B04V3PQ/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=flat+makeup+bag&qid=1563228823&s=gateway&sr=8-3) which is super convenient because it lays flat so you can see everything then you just pull the cords to shut it
Does anyone have a rec for a brush roll/case? I don't have a ton of brushes or anything, so nothing huge or crazy, but my main concern is holding a few of my larger brushes such as my RT powder brush and Morphe E41. One I'm looking at is this. I like this design or something similar if anyone has any recommendations!
I found this for a purse/bag insert. I'd seen them before but for like $20.
This one and this one both have zippered pouches to keep your tensioners secure. I like the first one because the whole things zips closed.
A bunch of people around here, including me, have this one. I would much rather have one of the first two.

I bought this set and have been using the two small and one medium bag: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FZ4ZNRV
I’ve only been using them about 2 months but so far they seem to be holding up well
I keep my brushes in a a makeup brush "folio" like this. I just got mine for Christmas and I really like it. Before I was using a little cup but it was so full that I had trouble finding a specific brush. It was also hard to travel with, since I'm in college but go home about every other weekend or so. This thing makes it easy to see all my brushes, and I can keep my Real Techniques sponge in the mesh zippered pouch in the middle.

I also have a similar set up. I keep my brushes in this book holder to protect my brushes not only from dust, but also dog hair that seems to exist everywhere in my house.
What about a brush holder for the brushes
I bought this one and it's really decent. there is lots of compartments, a removal pouch and extra zipped pockets. https://www.amazon.com/Travelmall-Professional-Cosmetic-Organizer-functional/dp/B01ELDCK9A/ref=sr_1_4_s_it?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1505691979&sr=1-4&

I actually have a separate stash for traveling because I've been known to break or lose things whilst on the road.
I got One of these cases and it works but I really want one that's got hard sides!
I have lost count of how many times I've linked this. I really want it guys :/
