(Part 2) Reddit mentions: The best crib bedding

If that doesn't seem to work with the existing pack n play because either our cat is too large or it doesn't seem safe to use with the baby inside overnight, the backup plan is the "Pack 'N Play Jetsetter" which has a zippable canopy. I figure a second playyard isn't ideal, but we could certainly use it for outside or at the park without getting the usual one so dirty? I'm hoping we can get away with the mosquito netting.

I made it with the help of a friend of mine. There’s tutorials all over the place for ruffled bed skirts. I got the idea for coloring and style originally from cadenlane.com but it was $128 and they don’t have the pink anymore. I wanted one with those colors and where the bottom ruffles were velcroed on so I could use it when the crib gets lowered. I haven’t seen one elsewhere that has the Velcro layers like mine.

I'm wondering about this too for my own wedding. The only solution I can think of is making large mosquito net food covers. Or, like someone else has posted, you could use huge hanging mosquito net covers. Then, if you live in a buggy place like I do, you can re-use it.

It's a girl, and just one!! She is due Dec. 22 according to the dr's but I believe she will be here a little sooner than that.

I am planning on doing her room in hot pink, black and white with touches of grey. If I can ever afford it, this is the set I'll be getting for her.

It's so hard to pick, especially if you're looking for organic or natural.

Personally we are using a minicrib this time (P&P size), getting a somewhat safe mattress and a memory foam topper. Discovering my toddler thought her "safe, firm" mattress was uncomfortable and getting her a topper was a huge game changer for us & her sleep, so we are providing softness a little earlier this time. The memory foam we are buying soon to give it tons of time to off gas before baby sleeps on it.
