For some reason, Im drawn to these black trees for some sort of decoration, depending on how tall they are, they could be centerpieces maybe?

I like this wristband bracelet for bridesmaids to wear, if you have some, or even yourself, depending on your dress color.

I like the idea of black candelabras everywhere, I feel like they are very romantic/dark, if done right. Something like this minus the fake spiders, and these Bleeding candle sticks are very cool.

If you're serving punch, an intricate black punch bowl would look great. Maybe a bowl on every other table, since they're little?

Satin flower girl basket, but I think there is a whole set for this, with a guest book and ring pillow. The gems are white, but it looks like you could easily pop them out, and place them with purple.

Instead of having guests sign a guest book, you could frame this Map of Europe and take the glass out and have people sign it. It would look amazing with all the well wishes on it, but still have a neat background to it.

A set of these Apothocary jars, filled with candy or matches, placed at the bar, or around the cake table, just as little accents. And you could wrap them with a band of purple ribbon to help tie your colors together.

And lastly, I always love candles at a wedding I feel like they are the symbol of romance. Lots of candles, everywhere. They give off just the right amount of light.

Good luck, hope Ive helped just a little. <3

Thanks for the contest! I hope to see pics of how the wedding decorations look!!!

For the sweet tooth (like my dad, these are all things he likes):

  • A candy jar or bowl filled with her favorite candy.

  • An artisan ice cream scoop.

  • An ice cream maker. You could get an ice cream recipe book as well.

  • One of my dad's favorite gifts was a sugar dispenser... I think that shows his level of sugar commitment.

  • Some artisan marshmallows.

  • A milk frother that doubles as a hot chocolate maker.

For the executive (like my mom, these are all things she likes):

  • A high quality thermos for coffee on the way to work.

  • A smart home setup, maybe an echo and some smart outlets or the google home. Really good for turning lights on/off, asking for the weather and news, listening to music, etc.

  • A FitBit to help her keep healthy even working long hours.

  • A popcorn maker that allows you to make non-microwaved popcorn in the microwave.

  • A white noise machine. If she has any trouble sleeping this thing is AMAZING.

  • A Roku or Chromecast that makes it easier to watch Netflix on the TV.

  • Wine tasting or cooking class that you can do together. Really my mom loves doing stuff with her family.

I'm going to share this, its way out of the price range, but you said that was okay.

Unicorn Skull

I would pretty much kill a basket of baby kittens for that damn thing.

Okay, i'll be honest, I wouldn't kill any kittens, but I would strongly consider it.

Show this gift some love.

I think I'm reading this correctly. If not, ignore. Others have mentioned modern decor, but I have a feeling you're looking for a more period look?

For the study look, I've always noticed a Turkish rug with heavy, dark wood and lush fabrics, even leather. Brass lamps, perhaps. Dark wood bookshelves. I notice many of them will have a portrait/painting wall with a mix of gilded and wooden frames. Some prints of old maps, oils - nothing modern. This is expensive, but it's the style I'm talking about.

The At Home store has a lot of armchairs that could fit this look - the studded, faux wingback look. A vintage writing desk could look good.

For the English cottage look I don't think you could go wrong with some of the distressed wood furniture that's popular right now. Lighter fabrics in florals or stripes. A little indoor greenhouse, or glass cloche terrerium.

I am also losing a little bit of my executive functioning. I feel like I have ADD or I’m becoming scatter-brained and I just don’t have the resiliance to bounce back to a steady state of mind so quickly after a minor distraction. I am using a lot of tools to help me along the way.

  1. I’m using whiteboards to write down my lists. Tasks I am working on, things that need to be done, stuff I cannot forget, reminders, etc. I try to limit it to 7 items so it is managable. Because this system works so well for me, I bought 3 more and made a bigger 2x2 tiled wall.

  2. I also use multi-colored markers to help me keep track of things. Done, not done, late, ready, urgent, not urgent, etc. The reason I do this is because I can no longer handle the pressure of juggling priorities in my head, so I dump it on my wall... like a save button.

  3. I use analogue sand timers to help me manage my time. I get so lost and so distracted that it is a waste. Even setting the timer on my phone app is a waste, plus unlocking the screen to check the timer is a waste, which draws me to play with another app. These sit on my desk and I give them a quick glance to pace myself within 30 minute tasks. I also have a 60-minute timer.

  4. I use notepad and stickypad templates. Unlike college-ruled pads, some of these templates are checkbox type. It helps take the guess-work out of my organization. Some of the pads also have brutal Aspie honesty in them. Seriously, I bought about 25 unique pads, I have a box of these!

  5. Adopt a system of rules for time management, priority management, task management, or productivity management. It doesn’t matter what, just pick something, anything that works for YOU. For me, I use the Eisenhower Method. Sticking to something will help you stay disciplined and you can better police yourself from falling apart at the hinges.

For anyone curious as to what the drink recipe is, it’s really simple. It’s called a ‘Hulk Hogan’ and yes, it’s delicious. I eyeballed the parts myself but it’s pretty error proof.

Ingredients

• Firework Popsicle (cut off the red tips and dissolve into batch)

• Lemonade

• Blueberry Vodka

• Bottles are $14 on Amazon (Link)

5x11 platform

3 pack mini platforms

Peek a Boo tunnel (she has a shop on Etsy as well)

Hanging bridge

Niteangel wooden house (unfortunately out of stock)

Etsy has a lot of chinchilla ledges, bridges and other cage accessories, definitely check them out. Shipping can be really slow though but the quality is worth it.

We also have a penny candy jar we're trying to train him to get into for transport since he hates being picked up but he mostly just likes perching on top of it at the moment.

if you looking for a rustic look.

is great.

I don't think so. This jar is 64oz and it says it will sprout 1/2 cup beans or grains. I sprout beans and grains in these jars, and they'll definitely sprout more than that though. I can sprout about 400g beans in it, but I think that's only about 2-3 cups. I'm not sure about grains, but I'd say maybe 4-5 cups. It also depends on how long you're going to sprout the beans/grains as to how much space they'll use in the jar.

You can also use a colander. That's what I use now to sprout beans instead of the NOW jar because it's easier and holds a lot more. I just soak the beans/grains in a pot overnight, then pour it into the colander and leave it on my counter for about 24 hours until they sprout a little bit. You can put the colander in the sink and rinse them if you need to.

For anyone interested in doing this, the liquid is Gatorade, though you can obviously use anything blue.

Here are the bottles I bought (there's different ones).

We use a glass candy jar. That way you have a lid.

But I just found this one on Amazon...!

hey i just watched this video, you might want to try a few new things regarding the dill pickles:

  1. use a 5% brine

  2. rather than sealing the jar with a lid, use an airlock by putting it through a plastic lid via a rubber grommet.. (or just get a clay crock, but they can be pricey.. or MAKE a clay crock.. episode idea?)

  3. if all else fails, use a commercial yeast rather than depending on wild yeast
