You want minis for PCs or monsters or both?

For PCs if you have money to invest, go to Heroforge. (Avoid the Ultra-Detail plastic, even though it is VERY detailed, it is also VERY fragile and will most assuredly snap at the ankles sooner than later.)

For monsters, I bought these round label stickers, it comes with a free trial on their website where they have a design generator that will perfectly print your tokens lined up with the stickers on the sheet.

Then I bought these 1" plastic chips and some 1" plastic coin holder pages for binders, and now I have several hundred creature tokens that fit in a 2" binder.

If you find that it is moving slowly you are always free to change the initiative order how ever you feel will help.

As an example say the party is comprised of a Fighter(Champion), Barbarian(Totem warrior), Warlock(Pact of the Chain), Wizard(Necromancer), Cleric(Light), Druid(Circle of the Land).

You notice that maybe the Wizard and the Druid are a little slower than the other players because they are still a bit overwhelmed by the choices available to them you could then set the initiative order to have those two players at the end of the turn and let them know that they should be using the time to choose their actions. If they can't come up with a spell to cast in 30 seconds they default to casting a cantrip of your choice.

You aren't doing it to punish a player but to keep the combat moving.

Another thing to think about is using something like this https://www.amazon.com/Set-Sand-Timers-Secs-Mins/dp/B0069TFG5A Use a 30 second timer to declare actions not only for players BUT to help you the almighty DM keep combat smooth. I would also suggest the 1 min timer for rule clarification during combat. If it can not be found or settled by the time the timer is over just make a judgment and return to it later.

Glad you are having fun man.

So I have a crap ton of items spread around several different lists, so there are practically infinite combinations to add up to $75. I am so excited just to have been able to participate - anything is amazing!! Some possible ideas:

  1. Vacuum $75 exactly

  2. $74.87 total

  1. $74.91 total

  1. $74.64 total

My sharpening kit is dirt-cheap and delivers a shaving-sharp polished edge with a little time and effort. I use silicon carbide sandpaper (1000-3000 grit), some water, a glass block, some double-sided tape and a strop with white and green compound. Total cost for the whole setup was around $30 from Amazon. Added bonus is that you can just slap a rubber band around the whole thing and pack it up into a bundle about the size of a paperback book. Once you get the blade sharp, you mostly only use the strop and some compound every now and then to keep it sharp.

Even the cheapest knife can be made obscenely sharp - it'll just require more maintenance to keep it that sharp.

This happens fairly often, but I'll get obsessed with certain animals or prehistoric creatures and learn everything that I can about them. Right now, it's a megamouth shark, which is maybe one of the weirdest looking things I have ever seen in my natural born life.

This item is related because it was once a fish and lived underwater like a shark: http://www.amazon.com/dp/998045458X/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=104GRG70G4RJR&coliid=I2WO2QUAAU4Z27

^^^ILoveYouAlready.

My name is Amber uhhh, Albert? I love reading eating books, the color purple monster trucks, Doctor Who spiders, and lots of other stuff literally nothing else.

I could really use these sand timers for D&D turn management throwing at people.

What's the purpose of them being magnetic?

There's one on Amazon intended to go in the fridge, but you can use it how you want, obviously. I used to use it for drawing maps, but I use thinner sheets that come in packs of 10 or something.

For character sheets, I use "wipe clean pockets". You just print off your sheet, write permanent stuff on it with pen, then slip it into the sleeve and you can use dry-erase pens on them.

I really enjoy Plickers. You can print off individual Plickers cards or buy a set of 40 from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Plickers-Student-Cards-Set-40/dp/B00FPIQB3W

I was going to suggest this! Now is a good time to look for them with back to school and all.

Go for it. Here's a helping hand though if you want to get the cosplay right.

Shoes: I think his are from Walmart and they were still selling them there

Sweater: Pretty generic but you can find a similar one at Giant Tiger

Shorts: Couldn't find his pattern. Ended up sewing some fabric to a generic black athletic shorts pair.

Looks like you'll be needing one of these.

Does the concrete have any protrusions? You could use brick clips. Try also hot glue or cling thing, which definitely sticks to cinder blocks but may not stick to concrete.

If those don't work, you'll have to use a real adhesive. Just figure out what gets that adhesive off (e.g., acetone) and that it won't leave a mark.

u/alenacooks · 3 pointsr/crochet

When I first started my hands would hurt like crazy if I crocheted for more than an hour or two. I figured out that my problem was that I was keeping an iron grip on the hook. I added these with these on top of them and that's helped a lot. There's also a big ball-type grippy thing that you could get. I hope you find something that helps.

To piggy-back onto this, you can also press the screen after all material has been ran. Ball up the screen, place between parchment, and press between 200-230f for 45 seconds or so.

To keep track of time, I use these bad boys: https://www.amazon.com/Set-Sand-Timers-Secs-Mins/dp/B0069TFG5A . Admittedly, they're likely not the most precise but I'm a large child.
