It might be worth $800. But nowhere near $1400.
I dont even understand where they plan on getting that from. There inst a Latitude 5570 available with those specs. At least not availble for consumer purchasing
You could get something better for $1100 like The XPS 15, which is much better and then a 3-Year accidental warranty from square-trade for $250
I recently did the same research when I was thinking about replacing my Hero 3+ Black with a Session 5. I ended up going with the Runcam Split for now but what I found is that it's best to just get a new Session 5 from whichever authorized GoPro dealer that has it cheapest and then buy this SquareTrade 3-year accidental damage plan. SquareTrade is widely regarded as the best warranty company and they'll either send you a new camera or write you a check for the full amount you paid if that model is no longer available. They won't hassle you and they won't try to replace it with a different camera that might be a lesser model. Plus there's zero deductible on the camera plans.
I'm getting that same plan for my Runcam Split once it arrives. Can't beat $12 for 3 years of accidental damage coverage.
No problem at all, haha. XoticPC is alright. They are a little slow as well, as they aren't a very big outfit. I don't know how they handle returns and exchanges or any of that, though.
As far as the warranties, go it's never a terrible idea to go with an Accident protection warranty. Got that one for my dad's laptop just in case. Mine don't really go anywhere, so I haven't bothered with them.
Fry's has it for $599 but only if you can pick up in-store. So, if you have a Fry's nearby, check if the camera is still in stock. Also, Ebay has it for $650. You can just purchase your Accidental warranty from Amazon or any website

Ooh, that Toshiba looks nice.
You (or anyone else) wouldn't happen to know if is there just an empty spot on the body when you choose not to have an optical drive (I'd just get a USB one) or is the body thinner?
Also, would anyone be able to recommend an accidental damage protection policy? I'm looking at SquareTrade's.
> Alternatively, get a SIM card on contract, as these don't need to be activated via PostIdent. It doesn't have to be a 24 month contract, there are 12 month (or even shorter) contracts.
Drillisch has a huge amount of different contracts on amazon all of them can be canceled within a single month.
Caveats are: O2 network meaning bad signal in many areas and if you go over the data cap they can charge you 2€ for 200mb up to three times (although you can disable that 'feature'). Otherwise i didnt have any problems with them.
