After tearing through several endpin tips, I starting using a rock stop instead. It'll last a lot longer and I've found it does a better job keeping traction on most surfaces.
Or this, which has advantages (smaller, for one thing). Your choice.
Further on this, rockstops have a tendency to slide around more than a bit. If you're using a 4-legged chair, I would use some form of cello anchor that has a belt on it.

From my experience, any kind of "donut" rock stop is going to have a hard time staying put. They have betrayed me too many times for me to trust them ever again.

I also have a carabiner clip attached to the loop part in case I ever perform some place that doesn't have chairs with legs that can go in that loop.
Admittedly this style of endpin anchor takes some getting used to, but once I adjusted to it, I couldn't go back to anything else.
