I have two sets of Inzer wraps (one longer and one shorter) and a set of no name wraps from the sporting goods store. The inzers are way better. The longer set I have can be a bit bulky at times, but the support I get from them is way better than the cheap set I first bought. The shorter Inzer ones I got off Amazon for like $20. Definitely worth the purchase.

I got these and they are really great ! I also rate it 5 stars like everyone else has

Lifting Wrist Straps by Rip Toned (Pair) - Bonus Ebook Cotton Padded - for Weightlifting, Bodybuilding, Xfit, Strength Training, Powerlifting, MMA (Black/Orange) https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01J7L8V3K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_7G9kDb79S2Z9N

If you end up wanting to try some wrist wraps for extra support, I'm running a mega sale right now on my new ones. I can also share a code with redditors for an extra $2 off making them only 7.99-8.99 shipped with prime. They're a higher quality material than the competition (Rogue, etc) so my 12" wrap offers tons of support without the bulk of a longer wrap. Still very comfortable also.

EDIT - yes, I'm a L1 CrossFit coach... Not spamming.

Use code CFVEER16

Yeah, I use wraps for lifting - those and fish oil are all there is between comfort and crippling tendonitis in my case - I tend to injure wrists often without the aid of both.

I got by with these for ages, but just last week bought these to replace them - I like them better as they're much more convenient to undo between sets.

u/AKhighlander · 1 pointr/HighlandGames

My preference is to use a leather work glove with the thumb cut off. I then put stretchy tape.... like this.... on my thumb

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01LXI43NV/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1510608063&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=lift+rx+tape&dpPl=1&dpID=51CWpgUe%2BlL&ref=plSrch

Everyone has their own thing. People throw far with a full glove, just tape, or barehanded. Keep throwing and you'll figure out what works.

I had the unilateral pain when I started. I think it's just the new movement and increased work load. I think you'll just adapt overtime. I don't have that issue with any significance now.

Good luck and have fun!

I’ve got a pair of these there pretty easy to use but a little pricey. For shoes I have the Velaasa Strakes. It’s a great show with a wooden heel and there’s also a code for 20% off somewhere.

I use Rogue wraps

And I use these sleeves and like them very much

Also, you didn’t ask but if you are interested in the future, this belt is alright:

u/zerosp4c3 · 1 pointr/gainit

Thanks! I got a cheap Valeo like this one from some sports store in town, it's stiff but I found to be pretty uncomfortable. I'll look into buying a new belt, about time for an upgrade I think.

Also, what is your opinion on things like straps/versa grips?

u/BananaScientist · 1 pointr/Fitness

They're completely different things. Wraps like this https://www.amazon.com/Weightlifting-Wrist-Wraps-Lifting-Straps/dp/B00XHZBYLE are what I mean. You slide them onto your wrist and then wrap them around the bar. This basically translates the weight from your fingers to your whole arm, pretty much taking grip out of the exercise and allowing you to lift as heavy as your body will allow. For me it's absolutely essential as my grip is infuriatingly weak compared to the rest of my body. I can lift max ~295 with normal grip, but can pull 355x5 with straps and then I feel like my back has gotten a true workout.

I actually have a different set of straps, but I don't recommend them since the stitching ripped after literally two days.

u/gepardcv · 2 pointsr/crossfit

If velcro wrist wraps don't fit you, maybe traditional tucking ones would work better. They perform better anyway IMO. I like these: https://www.amazon.com/Training-Weightlifting-Powerlifting-Bodybuilding-Equipment/dp/B00KIMP77G

Inzer Advance Designs Iron Wrist Wrap Z Large (36") Red https://www.amazon.com/dp/B011PZ0SVO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_LyjpDbMCWPN25

These work great for me. Would recommend the 36.” You can really get these things tight.

u/Astropin · 1 pointr/homegym

These are the best wrist wraps (especially for benching) that I have ever used: Dark Iron Fitness. And right now that are half price! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0771WMP9S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_16TNkaQ4yfAVk

u/corezero · 2 pointsr/weightroom

A2S2 W3D4. OHP is fine? AMRAP set is back to where it was in January when I stopped training it, so that's cool. Paused squats had a ridiculous rep PR. Assistance and cardio were unremarkable.

Westside Vs The World was pretty cool.

Oh, if any small people (or at least people with dainty wrists) would like a set of 60cm Serious Steel figure 8 straps, let me know. I bought a set and it turns out I don't like how they fit. I've got 6.5" wrists and I think I should've gotten a size up.

u/JayKay908 · 1 pointr/Stronglifts5x5

Thanks!

These are the ones I'm using:
https://www.amazon.com/RDX-Lifting-Bandage-Powerlifting-Sleeves/dp/B00FA2TBRG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1500076550&sr=8-1&keywords=rdx+knee+wraps

I found that sleeves aren't as tight as I want them. So I wrap my knees and quads while I do squats. :)

u/Antranik · 2 pointsr/bodyweightfitness

I'm piggybacking to say that also skids wrist wraps are very good too as they are cheaper and a very good option: http://www.amazon.com/Skids-SKIDSWRIST-1-Wrist-Wrap-Supports/dp/B00600T3NE

u/SerpentineLogic · 3 pointsr/f45

I have nerve damage in my right hand so my grip gets super shaky sometimes.

I use these grips and they work really well.

In normal use, it protects your hands like a glove would.

If your grip starts failing, you wrap the grip around the bar the 'wrong' way and it provides a lot more friction. It makes a huge difference - I can do 35kg dumbbell deadlifts without my right hand dropping them within seconds

And you can flip the entire thing out of the way if you don't need them.

u/User09060657542 · 1 pointr/Fitness

Does anyone have the _leather_ Cobra grips, non-affiliate Amazon link here for image reference.

I can't find the measurements of how long the flap/grip is. Basically, from the wrist, how long is that grip part?

I currently use leather Harbinger grips, non-affiliate Amazon link here for image reference. I like how these have a long grip, longer than other grips I've tried (16 cm). I don't have a store around me that sells leather Cobra grips, so I can't measure them in person.

How long are the grips from the wrist? Are they longer/shorter than 16 cm/6.3"?

u/Smashed_Adams · 1 pointr/Fitness

Wrist wraps can help and not all that expensive of an investment. You can get something like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TCQY964/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_nGjSyb1F3R3J3

Or this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010116LPU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_cHjSyb6MP0YMN

u/brightsideofmars · 2 pointsr/xxfitness

These are what I use. Not sure how durable they are, as I've had them for a few months and the end of one strap has started to fray, but I also don't take particularly good care of them?

u/grenmyninja · 3 pointsr/Assistance

Add this to a wishlist and I'll get it for you. It has the best rating, but if you find another you prefer, feel free to add that one instead.

EDIT: Actually, this one might be a bit more appropriate for your injury.

RitFit Lifting Straps + Wrist... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B017SIV9AQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Apologies if the formatting of this doesn’t work... I have a problem with my wrist after tearing my TFCC (never try to catch the kettlebell boys and girls)

These allow me to shift some of the weight off my wrist, and are easy to use.

There are plenty of varieties of basic weightlifting straps that should do the job.

u/chadjensen211 · 1 pointr/naturalbodybuilding

I had the exact same problem. Doing heavy lat pulls and rows my grip would be the first thing to fatigue. I got these and I noticed an improvement in back development. Harbinger Lifting Grips https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EDIGD5Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_FGuwCbQFZ1WQP
To keep up forearm development I incorporate grip into some simple lifts. (Palm down bicep curls or palm down tricep extension with straight bar)
