(Part 2) Reddit mentions: The best gaming chairs

Hello! I'm a longtime PC gamer and my gf made the switch about a year ago so I might be able to help!

We both use the Logitech Void Pro headset, have had it for about a year now and both love it! It's bluetooth, has a great battery life and sounds great as well.

I personally am super into mech keyboards and use a white Varmilo tkl board because I don't use the number pad all that often. I love how customizable/personal mech keyboards are so if you are into that, give r/mechanicalkeyboards a look! Keyboards are kinda a niche hobby to get into though so honestly I recommend the keyboard my gf has for new PC users - the Razer Ornata keyboard. She fell in LOVE with it because it has the "clicky" feeling without being too clicky + the lighting is customizable. It's honestly worth just going into a store and trying a bunch out! Same with mouses!

I've been using the Razer Deathadder mouse for about 2 years now and have loved it. It feels good in the hand, has extra buttons on the side and tracks very well. The only thing that's tempted me to buy a new mouse is bluetooth capability. My gf uses this mouse - which is super cheap if you need to save.

The one thing I really wouldn't skimp out on buying is a nice chair if you plan on having long gaming sessions. We just recently bought a new chair for my girlfriend because she was having issues with bad posture. I've definitely noticed a good change in her posture since having replaced her cheap ikea chair! I'm planning on buying the same one once it goes on sale again.

I have a question about gaming chairs!

Some friends and I play together every sunday, and here is our current set up. We just remodeled our apartment, so once we save a bit of money to splurge again we want to make playing our games more comfortable. I think we're looking for three/four small ergo chairs. Ideally in the $100/$150 price range, we're not sitting in them all day every day, but for a couple hours every Sunday.

Yes! I have been talking about this recently with my boyfriend.

We picked up this chair for $15 from Goodwill the other day. I told him when we bought it that there's no way we won't be able to get AT LEAST $15 back out of it when we move and get rid of it. It's in perfect condition from Goodwill and we're pretty good about taking care of our stuff.

I'm excited to enjoy the chair while we've got it, but I'm also excited about the prospect of flipping it later on.

Mine is both ridiculous and actual suggestions...

Also I like to sit up straight in my chair and not lean back while gaming. I've only had it for a month but so far it's awesome.

Well, it's all up to you. Some places like MicroCenter or Frys may have them, if you have those stores nearby so that you can try them out before purchasing. Personally, after spending $300 on my Dx Racer, I can comfortably say that it was worth the investment. I haven't really babied my chair as much as others, and it's stood up very well. No major issues with the chair, still has all the functionality, and the seat cushioning is still very firm. I did get the base model, and I figure the more higher end models would do just as well, if not better. Definitely read some other reviews, and make sure you're getting the chair for your size as well! The sides next to the armrest are a bit unforgiving, so if you're a heftier person, you might want to look into the XL version. However if you're on the skinnier to average size, you'd be just fine going with the regular version.

Yeah, this is all pretty temporary I think. Definitely will be getting a new table/seat for it. I'm thinking of going to a cockpit similar to this:

My experience with this vendor is amazing. One of the arm had a mark from sitting on the box. Instead of sending the whole thing back, they just sent me a spare part. Best gaming chair I’ve owned.

It’s super comfortable, especially for my back compared to the lawn chairs. The reason I got this over the hundreds of other chairs on the market was that I found out it’s made by a real furniture company. Everything feels really well made and sturdy.

Is just one example. Another brand named vert gear or something had the same design but I’m not going to search all over the place, u get the idea. These chairs are expensive because they give them to popular streamers and YouTubers for free and it influences others to think they need to have them also. So jack up the prices and “cha ching”.

I chose a fabric model because the vinyl will peel and crack over time like on an office chair. I would highly recommend some sort of seat cushion because the chair has very little cushion in the seat. But with a seat cushion, it is very comfortable and I can sit for 4-5 hours of XBox gaming no problem.

I'm sure there are newer versions of the chair available...just get a fabric one instead of vinyl. It will last longer.

A cool gaming chair like this one. I don't know if that one in particular is any good but we have one and really like it. I'm at work so I can't check the brand.

I can see XRocker chairs would be too much for you as you would not need functions they provide.

As your chair also needs to be used for homework and studying I would recommend one of Merax or MotoRacer chairs.

They are comfortable and can even be used for long sessions or watching videos, movies, playing games, etc.

Like I said, I’ll probably have a much better set up once I’ve settled in for awhile. But, can anyone even make a makeshift surround sound with those two items. I have are a few audio cables and transceiver for wireless audio.

Hey OP, I actually was in the market with a similar problem and came across this one. Its comfortable, easy to assemble and has really good support. Actually helping me fix my posture and be able to sit on it and stream for 5-6 hours. Its not the best chair in the market, but damn its a good bang for the buck.
