I got this case a couple years ago and have traveled with it several times since. It's been pretty bulletproof and protected my clubs well. It qualifies as a normal checked bag, so it's not super expensive to fly with.

I bought a kit from Amazon that included a rubber holder for the shaft to use in a bench vise. Just used my normal bench vise on my garage workbench. Worked great. Regripped my driver.

Here's the kit I used. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SRGJ53W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_yr2Izb49EXP5M

For people who hate constantly taking their phone out. I friggin love these things and I think everyone should have one, use it as your mini or put a piece of velcro to attach it to your own mini, they fit like a glove.

You buy your playing partner this: https://www.amazon.com/Canadian-Goose-Head-Cover-Junior/dp/B001876HVK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1503151806&sr=8-1&keywords=Goose+Golf+Sock

But seriously, a 4i would do the trick. Even a 9i would. Doesn't matter what club, just needs to be hefty. If I was 100% confident it wasn't going to survive, I'd go that route, then call the clubhouse, but that's just me personally. Be extra careful with Geese, though, because technically, I believe they're a federally protected species?

Just don't do like my friend did and drown it. It takes way, way, way longer than you think it does...

appreciate it - headcovers are from sunfish, however i did some shopping to find a wayyyy better deal

You can buy generic ones on Amazon or any online golf store for cheap like these. Most courses also will have a bin of left behind covers that went unclaimed that you can buy for cheap as well.

Fiberglass AKA polyester resin. It works, but epoxy has better performance for knifemaking purposes. Are you doing hidden tang or full tang? this is what I use.

Amazon and Google. There are only 2 types of spikes companies are using right now. Overall it looks confusing, but a lot of them are backward compatible and whatnot. Without looking into to far, fasttwist 3.0 should do. Check the diagram on picture part.

I thought I had the tool, but didn't. You should be able to get them out with a pair of needle nose pliers. Some of mine were so worn down I had to drill out the holes to get a grip on them. Just don't go deep and you'll be fine.

Get the spike removal tool. Like this https://www.amazon.com/Soft-Spikes-Softspikes-Cleatkaddy-Wrench/dp/B01C1WIXC6. You'll be incredibly happy you did when dirt, grass and other assorted BS gets underneath the spikes.

Thanks here's the Amazon link where I bought it! Snake Head Cover

I use this:

http://www.amazon.com/Dynacraft-Blade-Style-Grips-Remover/dp/B00KRDDYXU

Same principle as the coat hanger or butter knife, but easier. Once you get the hang of doing it you can remove a grip in under a minute. Faster and cheaper than an air compressor.

I was playing with a group recently that brought these out and it turned out to be a really fun game. You can obviously keep your own score like normal, but it added an additional game factor to the round.

Thanks! Here's where I got them. -> LINK

It's to remove or tighten cleats on golf shoes

It looks like that's probably fallen out of fashion. I can't even find references to it Googling (Google didn't exist when I was in the Navy).

Looks like the common advice now is either a tungsten ring (which breaks rather than crushing) or a silicon band. (The safety scoring thing I remember was for preventing a ring caught in machinery from taking a finger OFF; it wouldn't really help much with crush issues, I guess.)

I got head covers with my new irons and I absolutely love them. I am picky about the head covers and always hated the ones where you have to spend a minute wrestling the covers on. These head covers work really well in that I can pull on the zipper and it unzips and slides off in one motion. Same thing putting them back on in reverse, one smooth motion to put back on. They work for both right and left handed clubs!

Besides the bench vise (not counting that cost because I can use it for a lot of other things) and the grips I think it cost me about $20 to start doing.

This is all you need besides the two things I already mentioned. I started doing it for other people because you can get a roll of tape and a decent sized bottle of solvent for $20 a piece.

Takes me ~5 minutes per club which is a lot better than having to go somewhere 30 minutes away to get them done in my case.

You could buy a golf bag travel case and fit sticks and equipment in there then just empty your equipment bag and stuff it in there that's an idea.

I have a hard shell one similar to the one in the link below. I'd sell it for $100 + shipping. Shipping from Illinois.
