I'm sorry - I made a mistake! The Moisturizing Bomb is actually in [squeezey-tube type packaging] (https://www.yesstyle.com/en/belif-the-true-cream-moisturizing-bomb-75ml-75ml/info.html/pid.1060679344) (which I am still excited about, but isn't accurate for what I told you). It was actually a different moisturizer that isn't available in the US that's in a [proper sealed jar-type packaging] (https://www.yesstyle.com/en/belif-the-true-cream-water-bomb-75ml-75ml/info.html/pid.1061866549). It's called the True Cream Water Bomb, not the Moisture or Aqua, which is interesting! The TesterKorea site has a different picture now then when I checked earlier, or maybe I just misread - they do have the larger 75ml size, but the link shows it in a tub. I'm sorry if I got your hopes up!

Oh wow, I love Faceonomics! That blog has been so, so incredibly helpful; I've found some of my favorite skincare off of her recommendations! I agree, she really does have amazing skin. :)

Thanks! My great-aunties still press oil in an old-fashioned way - what they describe in [this link] (https://www.thoughtco.com/ancient-history-of-making-olive-oil-4047748) under "Making Olive Oil" and "Olive Press Machinery" is close. We didn't press olives, but the process was pretty close. Now my mom has an oil press - something [like this!] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004H2SDTM?ie=UTF8&tag=udfblog-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B004H2SDTM) :)

u/vsnie · 1 pointr/Interstitialcystitis

Hi! Oh wow, you're the first person who's said they too got it at around 20. Can I ask -- did doctors think it was every single STD in the book (given the age) and treat you wrongly for all sorts of crap? That's what happened to me, was terrible lol.

My symptoms differ with each flare up, but right now I get a sharp or dull pain on the left side of pelvis which then resonates through my back on the left hand side. I get burning sensations / sharp pains in my inner thighs and generally that pubic area feels very heaty. It gets itchy from time to time. After I go to the bathroom, it feels like that area got a workout. Some mornings, it really stings when I go to the bathroom and that stingy / burny pain really just knocks me out. I have to lie down for a bit to get over it. I try to drink tons of water before I go to bed to avoid that.

There's a general idea in Ayurvedic medicine that some bodies are prone to what translates in English as "heatiness". That body type should consume certain foods and drinks that suit it to avoid inflammation.

The Chinese also believe in maintaining a balance of hot and cool, too hot and its cystitis, too cool and another host of issues show up. There is a traditional Chinese drink called "Three Legs Drinking Water" which is normal water with a Chinese mineral that relieves heatiness and cools the body, this has worked well for me in the past: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Legs_Cooling_Water

Basil seeds are a common ingredient in desserts in the Middle East and in India, where it cools the body after heaty or spicy food. You can get these in the US (if that's where you are) on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/IndianBlend-T5-V1N4-QIZ2-CA-Takmaria-Basil-Seeds/dp/B004XTDRMM/ref=sr_1_11?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1538429238&sr=1-11&keywords=basil+seeds

Just dissolve it in big glass of water, a tablespoon or so, leave it overnight and just down it. Do it for a few days and see how you feel.

Just wanted to point out these are things that have worked for me, that may not work for everyone, but both are natural and harmless to try.

There's a lot of great information to understanding through the body through Ayurveda or TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). If you ever have the opportunity to visit a Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor, I highly recommend it because for chronic, autoimmune conditions / inflammation, they have a mapping and understanding of the human body that has truly helped me the most. Not saying do acupuncture or anything like that, but they can recommend adjustments to lifestyle and diet that make a world of difference. Because I can't always follow their lifestyle / diet advice, even though I really should, I can almost always predict when my body will react thanks to what they've told me.

Hope you feel better!

Hey Soph!

I think it's awesome that you make soap. I bought a tray of soap making stuff to try this Christmas and for completely sidetracked.

Here is the item I think will help your buisness. It's a bit expensive, but I think this 30 Sample Pack of herbs will give your soaps depth.

Here is your fun item. I thought the idea of a vinyl sticker mirror was awesome. And I saw you liked horses. It was a toss up between this one and a "my little pony" shaped one.

The absolute easiest oil to produce at home with absolute minimal effort is going to be sunflower oil. Sunflowers practically take care of themselves once you stake them, and can be grown in almost any climate zone and in abundance. Once they're done, chop the heads off before the birds get to them. Getting an oil press will net you all the cooking oil you could want for a year shy of needing large amounts for deep fat frying. About 1.5 Kg of seeds gets you about 1L of oil. Make sure you plant a high-oil variety, usually the stuff advertised as bird seed grade "Black Oil Sunflower seeds" is what you want.

The best part is, sunflower oil is pretty tasty in dressings, has a high smoke point, and is super relatively healthy for you as far as oils go.

Extra bonus: You will attract birds (good or bad thing) and you will attract pollinators like bees.

Yes it is. I have the bubble now which I got second hand but I also purchased one of these Bubble Made Easy Machine 6gal Machine https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00NLWBWEM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_eiprf3HIfaTQ9
To help speed up my washes and I notice very little difference in quality.
Would recommend both but I believe the bubble now has slightly better build quality.

u/spiral_arm · 1 pointr/Sprouting

I recently went on a sprouting experimentation binge and tried out a bunch of different sprouters, and there's one sprouter that I can count on to produce more sprouts than I can consume, and it's the easiest to rinse and juggle. The Easy Sprout. I mean, look at that early 80's styling! Clearly these folks hit on perfection and never needed to revise ;)

Seriously, though. That sprouter is awesome. I got mine from Sprout People. They also have great seeds and other supplies.

Glass jars are a pain. They ended up being my least favorite method and I just don't bother with them at all anymore.

Another decent one is the Sprout Master. They're nice if you want to pipeline and stack the boxes. That's the smaller size, it comes in a bigger size, as well. It will make greener sprouts but it's harder to de-hull them at the end. Still way better than glass jars, though.

Here's a video of the Easy Sprout in use. I don't drain mine that vigorously and they're fine, but you get the idea. I think they also have a video of the Sprout Master.

I'm in Alabama these days, but we just moved here this year from Oakland. I agree--it's pretty impossible to find, even in CA. If you're near San Francisco, you can probably find it at the large supermarket in Japantown called Nijiya Market. That's where my wife used to go to get all her Japanese cuisine supplies and she thinks she has seen it in stock there.

However I prefer to grow all the herbs I use anyway. It's a lot cheaper and you'll have an unlimited supply if you are able to keep them alive :-). We bought these Shiso seeds from Amazon and grew them ourselves. Sadly, none of the red shiso sprouted--not a single seed. However the green shiso had an excellent yield, maybe 80%. Shiso plants love a lot of water and direct sunlight, even in the brutal summer here in AL. I imagine in CA you can grow it year round without any trouble.

Hope that helps.

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

These plants are said to keep away bees and we have bees everywhere ;( I want to put these on my deck so I can actually sit out there! lol

How exciting to move into your own place!!

Thanks for the contest! Hope your packing and planning go well!

u/daedalusesq · 1 pointr/politics

Definitely! We don't have a seed library around me and all the stores just have the usual burpee displays so I thought it would be a good way to get some less common varieties. I got this one on a lightning deal for around $50:

Survival Essentials 135 Variety Premium Heirloom Non Hybrid Non GMO Seed Bank - 23,335+ Seeds - All In One Super Value Pak...Veggies, Fruits, Medicinal/Culinary Herbs - Plus 9 FREE Rare Tomato Varieties. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GT49WS2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_qF6KybN02XRCS

I probably wouldn't buy it full price, but I liked that it had both a lot of different vegetables but also had a few different varieties of most.

u/monkeyskittles · 1 pointr/AstoriaQueens

I like to get that stuff from MountainRoseHerbs.com, but it seems to be out of stock. I would probably order from Amazon.

If you want to physically pick up yourself, I recommend going downtown to a spot called "Flower Power Herbs & Roots". That should make you happy. They have tons of products and will have whatever herbs you need.

u/WhiskeyandKittens · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Did you know that manatees are identified by their scars? They obtain many horrible wounds by being too friendly with boats, and also from passing boaters that don't slow down. Therefore, this is how they are identified. Sad, but random fact.

They also love plants. I do too. =D

u/Bcarey1233 · 1 pointr/Homebrewing

So if I was going to try and harvest it myself how do I make sure that it is not going to infect the beer? Do I dry out the petals? or keep them fresh in the fridge? Its going to take a few weeks to build up a 5oz collection of petals, maybe I am just better off buying them?

Edit* This could work

u/dezweb · 1 pointr/RandomKindness

The best thing that's happened to me today is my friend gave me Red Dead Redemption, Brink, Call of Duty MW 2 & 3, and Black Ops on PS3 for my son to play. It's kinda cool in the fact that my friend is a 40 year old gamer - I get to share the spoils of his technophilia with my kids.

I love cooking and get tired of buying fresh herbs - of which I use only a small portion, but are very expensive. I've been wanting to order these herb seeds.

u/natalietoday · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I have never gone garage sale shopping before. I always figured MEH, if it's junk they don't want, why would I want it? WELL... yesterday we were driving along and my husband stopped at one which was odd because he NEVER does. We looked around a bit and the lady had [one of these(http://www.amazon.ca/Miracle-Gro-Aerogarden-Indoor-Garden-Gourmet/dp/B00FZ1AYFK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1408406656&sr=8-1&keywords=aerogrow) brand new in the box for $20.00
YES $20!! HOLY CRAP we snatched that up so fast!! It's now in our kitchen growing some lovely herbs and I think I am addicted....
Tell me your stories of success while garage saling!!

WOW. $1 per seed? Amazon has them $5 for 100.

u/kaijuclasspoint5 · 2 pointsr/BeardedDragons

I just bought dandelion seeds and a pot to grow indoors. Dandelions are weeds here in Boston, so i think they're pretty easy to maintain. Kaiju does seem to like dandelions and chard better than other veggies.

I also gutload Kaiju's crickets and worms- a few hours before dinner, I throw the doomed critters into a smaller cage with a few leaves so maybe Kaiju gets some chewed up greens that way.

When Kaiju's dinner is worms, we cover the worms with leaves as they crawl around, and Kaiju tries to eat around the leaves. He gives us the stink eye so hard when he gets a big mouthful of greens, but he doesn't seem to be able to spit out his food so he just accepts his fate and keeps chewing. We give him dinner out of his cage, and the whole process takes about 15 minutes. This is how it looks: http://i.imgur.com/QRYvBT8.jpg then http://i.imgur.com/yyqT3uj.jpg

Ah okay, I just have some question on if I can get supplies/successfully compete a non-polar/polar extraction.

I am taking only 75mg of DPH (to work as a anti-histamine, not a delriant as I usually do). And advil is a vascodilator so the vasconstriction won't be to bad.

Also I ordered these: https://www.amazon.com/Organic-Woolly-Morning-packed-wiccanherbmaster/dp/B00GWNQUZ8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1469812842&sr=8-3&keywords=hawaiian+baby+woodrose+seeds

Just wondering if you thought that was an okay source.

u/kngg · 1 pointr/keto

Well I just learned you can buy the seeds if you import them from Korea - Here's an Amazon listing:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FBN0YLU/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I1PXK40E7ZBTL3&colid=BR2JV45BOWWW

But I dunno man. Considering these are the only ones I've ever found, I am skeptical of their benefit.

Have you tried pressing oil with any kind of nut?I doubt I'll ever do that, but I was looking into it briefly a while ago and if anyone has enough to do it with, I'm sure you must. I saw this and if my olive tree ever fruits, I might try get one if it makes a lot of olives
