I'm sorry today was poopy, I really hope your tomorrow is much improved. One thing I try to do is draw write out all my emotions on a piece of paper without lifting the pen and barely moving down the page so the words aren't legible but they are there; and trust me, they are NOT nice. I write until I feel like I've screamed at myself enough on the paper, then I shred it, set it on fire, cut it up, whatever. It seems to help but probably isn't the healthiest as I'm still thinking the crappy thoughts about myself/the issue as I write them. Also, I'll share something I want to vent about which is people giving advice without wanting to listen to your whole situation. I really appreciate when someone wants to help, but in a conversation where you are wanting to speak out and share your issues to seek advice, it's really frustrating when they just won't let you explain enough to really help. I got cut off twice today while seeking some perspective (an issue I was having with my hubby's meh-mindset), only to be told something utterly ridiculous and unrelated as a solution because they weren't listening (he should take up drinking so he has a distraction from being bored at home?!?!) I ended up dealing by just nodding my head and hearing them out with a smile til they left, then made a pros/cons list of my potential solutions.
P.S.- Abba Zabbas are kinda my go-to sweet snack and BEEF JERKY IS LIFE. Both are on my wishlist so I'm linking to the one I really want... ;)
P.P.S.- Also, this may not be super allowed, but I'm going to draw you an awesome extra wonderful cardoodle just cause a) you commented on my contest and b) you seem like you could use a happy pick me up. I only say it because I wanted to add something to cheer you up as well. :) <3
There are two that have helped me. I hear that others are down on this stuff, but it’s helped me ease into eating organ meats and I’ve absolutely noticed improvements that nothing else could give me. Feel free to DM for more info.
1 - Ancestral Supplements. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XP7Z1KN/. They have a variety of offerings (more on their website) and the owners are really active in answering questions, and their answers built my confidence.
2 - Mountain Sticks organ meat sticks. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CQGRMDI/. They make two flavors. One is even AIP approved. Both are Paleo certified. They’re not the most amazing tasting, but they’re ok and I can tolerate them. I have been sort of started to like the cranberry ones.
I’d like to hear if you learn anything further.
I was taking these as I built up my ability to stomach eating actual organ meats, and I think I’m about ready to do so.
Homemade is the best way to go. However my go-to jerkys are the Old Trapper brand pepper jerky, and then a local company called Hi-Country makes a Honey Kist that is fantastic.
If you are looking for animal types, beef is the classic, but if you have the chance to try goose, duck, buffalo, or Moose jerky I recommend you do so. One great thing about Montana (going against my UN) is that we have a lot of different animals that can be hunted. Elk, deer, moose, bear, antelope, and mountain lion are all types of game I have had the chance to eat thanks to the variety of things to shoot in this state.
Here's a link to Hi Country's web site. As a Montanan I love them because they are local, but as a jerky lover I can't recommend them enough. They are a little pricey, but thena gain what jerky isn't an arm and a leg anymore? http://www.hicountry.com/
Spaceballs the edit: You can get 18 ounce bags of Original, peppered, or teriyaki Hi Country off of Amazon for $17. Cheaper than I can get it in the stores here in town and I'm 2 hours from the factory >.>
http://www.amazon.com/Hi-Country-Beef-Jerky-Original-16-Ounce/dp/B0054GGT8W/ref=sr_1_1?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1453506967&sr=1-1&keywords=hi+country
So just curious if this is the best place to ask, also if anyone has a guide to link here that would be greatly appreciated as well?
So I'm 5,4 male, age 22 weigh around 160. Trying to go down to 130 as soon as possible. Would be great if I could lose that weight by the end of April, but I imagine it'll take twice as long... which is fine.
So I currently run 4 times a week at the gym on a treadmill. Currently run around 15 miles a week. And do some very light weight lifting as well.
My diet currently consists of mostly
Meats: Chicken Breast, salmon, tilapia, pork chops, steak
Vegetables: Chinese Bok Choy, broccoli, green beans, asparagus, peas
Fruit: Fuji Apple, blueberries, navel oranges, raspberries.
Other: Quiona, Lentils, pasta(probably the bad kind :/ ), eggs, cereal with almond milk. Lot's of garlic powder and garlic in general, the now cow protein bar.
Which isn't too awful, but I do usually eat some healthy stuff on a saturday which I need to lessen.
Other then that I'm thinking of adding some more eggs and avocado into my diet. Any big suggestions on what I should add or change?
Also heard a meat like this one would be pretty good?
https://www.amazon.com/Tanka-Buffalo-Stick-Cranberries-Orange/dp/B00GEG49VU/ref=sr_1_2_s_it?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1484056392&sr=1-2&keywords=bison%2Bmeat%2Bstick&th=1
or this
https://www.amazon.com/Epic-Natural-Bison-Bacon-Cranberry/dp/B01AHVB75I/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
Any suggestions on that?
Also anyone can recommend me a type of bread or wrap that I can eat a few times a week with turkey meat?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I made these meatballs over the weekend and they can be zapped in the microwave very easily (and they work well with different flavor combos).
Cheese sticks are my go to easy protein, but sounds like that might be out. Crackers, naan, frozen waffles (they like the whole-grain blueberry ones the best), and bread are my usual starches and are pretty neat.
And Gerber makes these meat sticks that make me shudder since they look like Vienna sausages but my twins love them and they're good when you're time crunched.
Buying pepperoni can be tricky. Normally we'll just grab whatever pack is at the grocery market. Luckily for me I have an Italian market near me and they make their own pepperoni. Its my go to choice as its better than the name brands like Hormel. But there are other options such as buying pepperoni from Amazon.
Check it out! I have listed these from best rating to worst rating and there are some more than these on Amazon if you look at a specific pepperoni and then under the "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought" or "Sponsored Products", but Ive tried to list the most popular ones. Put the pepperoni on your holiday wish list!

I'd just like to point out that I didn't bring up the commercial brands of jerky (they really aren't that good, but if the comparison is going to be made, it needs to be accurate). To answer your question... Jack Link's 3.25oz bags are currently $4.68 at Walmart and 4 packs at Amazon are $15.
Look, like you said, your store isn't for everyone. My ideas on pricing come from growing up at the edge of the desert in Southern CA, where there were quite a number of stores that sold fantastic beef jerky, often made on-site. You obviously get the sales traffic to do well enough and I wish you the best in your endeavors.
Sweetwood Smokehouse - Fatty Meat Stick - Original - 2oz (20 Count) - Gluten Free , Nitrate Free, Grass Fed, All Natural, Healthy Snack for Kids & Adults https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00M1UG2ZO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_1scxDb1HMXGKM
Love these! Grab anything that goes well with a meat stick and indulge. Plus, I like saying it's time for a fatty.
Odds are, you are used to biltong, which originated in Africa but is pretty popular in Australia. It's generally a lot thicker and meatier and tends to run more salty than sweet. You can order it from Amazon. It's damned good stuff. It's also REALLY easy to make at home.
I am a bigger guy and was always a bigger kid so store bought costumes never really fit or looked good. if i had the resources I would say Alphonse from FMA, I am the right size and I think a full suit of armor would be badass!
Thanks for the contest and happy Birthday!
I would love this. this would be a very tasty treat!
I am not sure what you are into...so I'm posting somethings...
i'm morbid, hope you are too!
If you have piercings you will want this!! Hopefully.
Who Doesn't like bacon??
Trust me! If you like candy these are the way to go!
Hope you find something you like :) Thank you for the contest!!
Recipe
The fire in the fields creates a large plume of black smoke, great...everyone probably knows where Gareth is now. That could work against him, or for him. He gets to the parachute, which was actually farther than he expected, and opens up the box.
Inside it contains:
There's a note inside that says: "Good luck.". That's it? Gee, thanks.
When he looks down at the village he can see a stone house is on fire, greek fire eats away at the stone house and through the windows. Gareth sees Milo run from the house and start jogging towards the lake, where the explosions occurred not five minutes ago. He hasn't noticed Gareth yet, he could have the element of surprise here....
OOC: If you wish to fight Milo or Confront him, please comment HERE after his most recent reply. If you decide against it, feel free to reply to this message once more.
Pretty sure it's Golden Island Korean BBQ Pork Jerky.
Very awesome stuff but not keto. I wish I could eat it every day lol.
Boots. I love these boots, they rock. Men's shoe, women's shoe.
A water bottle or two.
Snack bars. Meat and vegan.
Okay that should get you started.
Sodium nitrite is a common ingredient added to processed meats and fish that helps preserve the food and prevent bacterial growth that can cause botulism. Studies have linked sodium nitrite to the formation of tumors in other organs, including the colon and brain.
But as I say, everything in moderation. I recommend Tanka Bars or Vermont Smoke and Cure RealSticks
http://www.amazon.com/Tanka-natural-Buffalo-Cranberry-1-Ounce/dp/B005JXHLBY
http://www.amazon.com/Vermont-Smoke-and-Cure-RealSticks/dp/B009ZX0U6W/ref=sr_1_1?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1415213931&sr=1-1&keywords=vermont+smoke+and+cure
This is probably going to be the closest - can't find the leather ones on Amazon unfortunately.
~
Food wise:
Trail mix
Jerky
peanut butter crackers
(going to suggest that you might want to send Gareth a bag to hold all this? Janine has one already. Unless you meant like cooked food.. in which case, it needs to be available on amazon)

Primal jerky is my favorite (vegan) and travels well as a snack.

I was doing some research on pepperoni and came across this:

As you can see, the ingredients don't line up. Are you sure these are the same?
My family buys the Golden Island Korean Barbecue jerky from Costco, shit is delicious and its like 12 bucks for 2 14.5oz packs.
Candied bacon
Seriously though, I'm a fan of the Saucony Jazz (sneaker) also red wings of some variety are an option.
It’s a mock meat usually made of soy and intended to replace ground hamburger. Most people can’t tell the difference when it’s prepared well. A good brand to see what it’s like is Gardein.
https://www.amazon.com/Gardein-Ultimate-Beefless-Ground-Ounce/dp/B01G82R9ZW
Link to a whole ass case here.
BACON.
I also like fruit, nuts, and these.
Water dispenser, BEEF JERKEY, Jelly Beans, and Kazoozles!
ive only ever tried this one flavor from this brand, but this Korean BBQ flavor is realllllllly good
this.
Try a Tanka Bar instead.
The price for a pound of Jack Links beef jerky is literally half of what you posted.
