I linked the products you can buy in the US easily below.

  • Canmake: You can find Canmake everywhere in Japan and it is very affordable. The glosses were around 650¥ (~$6) and the blushes were around 500¥. The quality is really good; I bought a bunch of backups of the glosses. Their packaging is adorable but I just didn’t find many of their products appealing for myself, I think they are for a younger audience. I did pickup a couple eye shadow quads for my younger cousins. I can link photos if interested, I didn’t add to this album since I wasn’t going to swatch them)

your lips only gloss #02 These glosses are super comfortable, they feel more like lip oils. This gloss changes to the “perfect soft pink” and has a little bit of glitter in it, #1 is the same shade but doesn’t have glitter in it.

your lips only gloss #03 This gloss changes to a darker pink and doesn’t have glitter in it.

    Cream cheek #15

    Cream cheek #CL05
  • Opera: Found very easily in stores. More expensive than Canmake, these gloss sticks were 1200¥. These sheer lip colors are very sheer and natural looking.

Sheer lip color, #203 pink apricot

Sheer lip color, #22 natural pink

  • ettusais: these lip crayons are really hydrating and have SPF in them which is great for spring and summer.

    Creamy lip crayon, PK 2

    Creamy lip crayon, OR 2

Chifure: Their lipsticks were very affordable (300¥) but the lipsticks don’t come with a case, which I didn’t realize. When I was shopping at other makeup stores I tried finding this brand so I could buy a case, but I couldn’t find it so I don’t think this brand is as easy to find as others.

    Lipstick #517

Stylenanda: I believe this is a Korean clothing brand, their makeup brand is called 3ce. They have a store in Harajuku on Takeshita Street. This store is really busy and you have to ask a employee to get the products you want to buy (which seemed to be common in higher-end makeup shops) so shopping here can take some time.

Matte lip color #909 Smokey Rose

    Pot Eye shadow- Baby Latte
    Eye shadow trio- Lemmesee

  • Esprique

    Glow cheek, PK-2 Sweet Pink

    Shadows: BR 303, BR 304, OR 201, BE 311

  • Majolica Majorca: owned by Shiseido and is pretty easily found very easily in stores, it is also very affordable. There packaging is really cute but like Canmake, I think it is intended for a younger audience so I didn’t find much I wanted.

    Shadow, BE 286

  • Paul & Joe: found in most department stores. I also saw a lot of their accessories (wallets, bags, etc) in a bunch of stores in the malls.

    Eye colour limited 005

*Etude House: I believe they are also a Korean brand. Their largest location is in Harajuku on Takeshita Street across from

Stylenanda. I believe they have other locations around Japan. They’re prices are also really affordable and their international shipping is pretty reasonable as well.

Hello all, in a previous post made yesterday, I had replied with a picture of a drawer of my Alex 9 unit and received a few of inquiries about how I made my drawer organizers. So, I decided to try my best to tell you how I did it. I apologize I wasn't able to make a complete step by step with a ton of photos, but this process was done over a year ago, and I wasn't really planning on doing it again since I finished!

Materials Needed:

Ruler

X-acto Knife

-I would recommend some extra blades as well-

--Foam Board (the more the merrier)--

Flathead Pins

--Contact Paper--

-The blades become dull fairly quickly, I think I used about four during the process-

--I was able to get a piece for $.99 at Michael’s on sale

---I decided to wrap each piece with contact paper because it makes it very easy to clean. In my actual vanity, I used fabric and it has gotten dirty and damaged and I 100% don't recommend it--

Template Materials:

Copy Paper or Grid Paper

Ruler

Actual makeup products

Steps:

  1. I first made templates for each drawer. I found using grid paper to design the setup made it very easy, each block was marked as an inch. Using the actual product dimensions I was easily able to map out what could possibly go in each location. It’s nice to know that the height of a standard sheet of copy paper is the width of the drawers! Also, to note, I made sure to give a little space on each side of the product to give it some wiggle room. (The dimension of each drawer is 11.5"x20.5")

  2. I then used normal copy paper to make a full-size map of each drawer. Then using that I transferred it onto the foam board. Measure twice and cut once.

  3. Using a straight edge, I was able to make cuts of each segment. It's easiest to first cut the width of the product and then afterwards cut the height of each compartment making sure they all have a uniform width and height.

  4. After each piece has been cut, I went ahead and wrapped every piece with white contact paper. Contact paper has a sticky back that easily allows it to adhere. Also, the back has its own grid so it was easy!

  5. Once each piece was ready to go ahead and assemble, I made a new template. This one was to make a uniform depth of each compartment (my smaller compacts all had about 3/4 of an inch between each and larger had about 1 inch) A B. This also made it very easy to ensure I had a perfect right angle.

  6. I decided to use flathead pins to connect everything together. I've seen previous YouTube tutorials that used hot glue, but that can be messy and difficult to work with. Also, if you ever need to redo something, you don't destroy what you had done. I used two pins on each side which really anchors the part. I will note, the tips of my index fingers went numb from doing this so much, but the feeling came back…eventually

  7. Enjoy!

    Some other things to note:

In my palette drawer, I created L shaped panels to allow for the palette to be better seen

I also purchased from byAlegory a liquid lipstick and lipstick organizers to build around

In my lipstick drawer, I purchased little glass beads to allow for the products to stand up better

My paper towel drawer has a holder which I created using a wooden dowel and clay

Also, I grabbed plastic liquid dispensers to easily get to my various liquids

Managed to slice my finger open making little lids of acrylic to hold all my disposable paper products

*Most of my other acrylic pieces have been purchased from MUJI

I hope you enjoyed my ~teal battlestation~, if you have any other questions about it feel free to ask. And I'm sorry if it was unclear at all. And, I'm 100% aware I have a stupid amount of makeup that I've gotten over the years as a makeup artist, Sephora employee, and a true Make Up Addict.

My baby kitty Lucky, is my perfect cat. I had a calico before (or tortoise?) and she was amazing and I guess when I saw this one on a facebook local animal page, I decided it was the coloring and I'd adopt her.
She didn't disappoint. There's one spot, a 2x4, that she scratches. Never on furniture or anything else. Just this one piece of wood.
When she plays, she always keeps her claws in and when she "bites" whether in play or irritation, she never clamps on or hurts you.
Both of these things stand true in the bath as well.
Even when in heat, she wasn't unbearable. She'd moan a little or cry a bit, but only howled incessantly a couple times ever.
She likes her feet massaged, and her belly rubbed. She also used to toke with me, but I have since stopped sharing because my son let her out when she was in heat once, and I couldn't get her in all night...and yep - I'm about to be a grandma. Although this will make me a bad and irresponsible pet owner, I am kind of excited. She isn't that old and hasn't much changed her personality, and hope that it doesn't come to that, because she's perfect. I'm thinking she will teach her babies to be good like her. My favorite thing is how she curls up under the blanket I'm using, head out on my arm, to nap.
Ok, I am stopping now; I SWEAR I am not that into cats haha

*here's an Elf brush I'd like
*or a NYX lippy
*I wanted to try this for an under eye concealer
*[FAVORITE] (http://www.amazon.com/NYX-Soft-Matte-Cream-Paulo/dp/B004LXKVPQ/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=283BSUOAQ32TA&coliid=IJ4YZ3HV87NMF) matte lip cream by NYX!

) What a fun contest, thank you for hosting. And SO sorry I'm a babbling long winded mouth haha

I Heart Drugstore Makeup!

  1. Wet n Wild! Their eyeshadow palettes are soo pigmented and pretty. I almost have to say that I like their palettes better than NYX (although NYX does have better packaging).
  2. Face would probably be Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation. Cheek would probably be Wet n Wild Pearlescent Pink blush. Lips would be Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lipstain in Honey hands down.
  3. I'll probably have to go with Covergirl Blush. I bought some a while back when I was first starting with makeup. It barely shows on my face.. which was probably a good thing, back then.
  4. This might sound gross but I think Monistat Anti Chafing is a pretty sick deal.
  5. I really like moisturizer sunscreen combos, like the one by Aveeno, it makes it easy for lazy old me to put on both sunscreen and moisturizer in the morning.
  6. Flower (by Drew Barrymore) or Napoleon Perdis or Physician's Formula. All very expensive and for the same price I could get Wet n Wild with same or better pigmentation.
  7. Monistat Anti Chafing for primer, I've used it for the longest time, got a sample of Smashbox once, but to be honest, they're basically the same.
  8. Really not too fond of ELF eyeshadow palettes. Their brushes/liners are great, but their palettes are sometimes a hit or miss for me. Pigmentation is ok in some and really bad in others.
  9. Rimmel Apocalips! I've read so many good things about them, but I can never find them in my nearby Big Lots and I'm too much of a cheapskate to buy them full price.
  10. I would really love to have a NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp. I've become obsessed with NYX Lip Creams lately and it looks like a really nice color to pick up!

  • This lippie from TONYMOLY! I've been dying to try products from TONYMOLY. Their packaging is so cute, too, and I'm a sucker for packaging.
  • GAME. OF. THRONES. I didn't get into the hype right away like everyone else. I randomly started watching it two weeks ago and finished all three seasons already. It is as good as everyone said and worth all the hype!
  • I love Nicole! I find a lot of "makeup gurus" pretentious but Nicole's feels like you're talking to a girlfriend on Skype. She's silly and very talented!
  • This is my favorite video on Youtube. It's a music video. I love the song and way that it's shot. It's beautiful.
  • broadway!
u/waterqueen1994 · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

Just rent a wrecking ball and bash a hole in the wall. BAM natural light and constant fresh air :D

Seriously though this should help. And these are supposed to be super amazing lamps. They are stylish and pretty. They will provide the room with some nice light and allow you to put the lamps where ever you want

I would love either these gorgeous lippies or these brushes

So, this is definitely kind of weird, but I hoard bike parts. Old parts, new parts, pieces of bike parts that I tell myself I'll fix, basically anything that was once on a bicycle, or belongs on one.

I like to tinker and I like to ride bikes, so it all started innocently enough. I have two bikes built out of some new, some hoarded parts: right here! and a pile of extra parts waiting for my next project. Plus, this 25 (ish) year old frame that is waaaay too big for me but I can't bring myself to let go of it: [this guy!] (http://i.imgur.com/qPieP0r.jpg) I wish I collected something cute, or fancy, but no. It's bike parts.

(Not pictured are the multitude of screws, bolts, tiny metal things, etc that I took off various projects and kept, because who knows when you'll need an old bolt, right? probably never, but still...) Anyway! If I were to win, I would love to give this a shot. Thanks for hosting!!

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I'm not sure if anyone else has posted these, but I think these shoes are absolutely adorable!!

if i win i'd love this but if that's too expensive, you don't need to get me anything! everyone needs a cute pair of shoes :)

Happy birthday, lady!!

Family dinners for birthdays are big in my family. As I get older I haven't really celebrated much, but the dinner is always there : )

Since we're taking birthdays dinners, I'll add a little side story here. My son just turned 3 on Friday. I was trying to explain to him that he could pick anything he wanted for dinner, and tried to give him examples by listing some of his favorite foods. Instead, he insisted on having carrots and grapes! I'm sure he'll catch on next year!

Anyway, I would love to have NYX Butter Lip Gloss in Raspberrry Tart.

Have a great birthday and thanks for hosting!

Hello GherkinJerkin! First of all, thank you for this giveaway!

I have 2 bags that I use frequently which you can see here.
The little one is the bag that I will always have with me. It carries my favorite blush (Luster from Nars!), my powder and my lipstick that I'm wearing that day!

The bigger one I use when I go away for longer than 2 days. It will carry just some random stuff what I feel like wearing at that point and which you can see in the second photo of the link :)

I really love lipsticks so I would be really happy with this one from NYX. I still don't own lipstick/lipgloss from NYX so this would be a nice start of a new collection :)

Skincare routine:

Morning

  • I'll use Cerave Foaming Cleanser (just started this a month ago after seeing it on sale at amazon), or Up&Up Gentle Skin Cleanser. The latter is an off brand version of Cetaphil's Gentle Skin Cleanser, but waaaaay cheaper at six bucks.

  • After patting skin dry, I'll use Stridex Maximum Strength Pads. Sometimes I'll also use St. Ives Scrub Free Exfoliating Pads, but I can't really stand the rotten fruit smell. If I'm using St. Ives, that means my skin is not doing well.

  • While I'm waiting for the exfoliant to dry, I'll exfoliate my lips using ELF's lip exfoliator or a toothbrush. Then, I'll put Aquaphor or Jack Black's lip balm on.

  • Spot treatment with AcneFree's Terminator, 5% BP. Usually the forehead because it hates me. >_<

  • Moisturize. Cerave cream (when I'm home) or Cetaphil cream (when I'm traveling).

  • Sunscreen. I'll use a Neutrogena sunscreen daily, usually from the ultra sheer line. If I'm going to a fancy shmancy event and I'll be wearing heavy makeup, I'll go with Missha sun cream, since it plays well with a full face.

    During the day

  • I'll use a Stridex pad after any workouts. If I do this, then I don't use my nightly retinoid.

    Evening

  • I'll remove my makeup using a wet wipe and the CVS brand eye makeup remover. If its a heavy makeup type of day, then I'll use Bioderma and almond oil instead.

  • Wash face with Cerave Foaming Cleanser or Up&Up Gentle Skin Cleanser. If its a heavy makeup day, I'll double cleanse.

  • Spot treat with AcneFree's Terminator. At this point, I'll clip my bangs off my forehead.

  • Moisturize. I'll either use Cerave Cream or Neutrogena's Rapid Tone Night Repair Moisturizer (or the CVS knockoff, since its cheaper).

  • Moisturize eyelids with Vasaline, and lips with Aquaphor.

    Once a week

  • Freeman's Oatmeal and Avocado Clay Mask. If I'm traveling, I'll use it twice a week, since my pores just gets congested during the trip.

Thanks for having this contest, Daisy! It is obvious that I hang out at SKA, but I also just love reading the research on dermatology.

Nyx Matte Lip Cream in Sao Paolo
u/toidulls · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

NYX Cosmetics and ELF are some cheap brands that you can find on Amazon. NYX has a soft matte lip cream that smells really good and has good color options. Another beauty brand I like is Skinfood. I have their egg white pore mask and I really love it even though it sounds kind of weird. Like Tony Moly, Skinfood is a Korean brand.

Also, I saw in a comment that you were asking about anti-wrinkle cream. Two really important ways to maintain youthful, vibrant skin are to wear sunscreen (even in winter, all the time) and to drink lots of water! I use a moisturizer with SPF in it and I highly recommend picking one up or just adding normal sunscreen into your routine!

u/lightzalot · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I saw you have some super awesome lip products and I think this one looks awesome and you might enjoy it too. :) Happy almost birthday!

The clock is ticking, and I felt that as I gathered all of the items and couldn't find a paperclip for what seemed like forever even though it was only a few minutes... haha! I found all of the items, though! If I win, I'd like this gloss! Thanks for hosting, this is such a cute idea!

u/bashfulfox · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I have tomb raider, and i love it! The story line is pretty interesting as well as the gameplay, and like the "side objectives" where you collect relics, documents, etc. Makes things a lil more fun. item

u/smartlypretty · 2 pointsr/AsianBeauty

I use an inexpensive primer I found on Amazon that I like better than Smashbox called Emori, not sure if it's AB or not.

My current routine (this is one week after I got the giant Tarte box with everything) is typically Skinfood Salmon concealer (my favorite concealer so far, creamier but stays, ousted Boiing), Aqua Petit Jelly BB in the lighter version- usually I use my fingers or one of those toothbrush brushes), Peripera or Etude tints as I mentioned with my ulta tinted balm, the TonyMoly powder which as I said blew me away, I have eyelash extensions so nothing there, and I have a cushion blush in a tube that I like a lot but I just got the other powder blush I mentioned. I also have and like the Missha cushion, but I like Aqua Petit Jelly more.

Waiting on this because I love this brand, it's a cotton candy setting spray?

Sorry that wasn't more enlightening but it has links :) I was just surprised to be AS entranced by AB makeup as I am by AB skincare because I was a MUA for a long time and have always been a product junkie and now I use my stupid expensive stuff on days I'm not going anywhere :O

ETA: I really have to check into eyeshadows now. I've kind of hit a wall because my whole face is handled, and I do want one of those TonyMoly bunny glosses!

I am going to say the NYX Butter Gloss

I have chosen Cupcake because I just adore the colour. But I find that this is cheap, but looks expensive on the face. It is very moisturising for the lips as well as looking very sleek :) I like that it comes in a range of different colours so you can change the colour dependant of how you feel :)

u/kidah · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

If u're in the US maybe something like this would be good. $5.30 and free shipping. Not sure about shipping times but.. yeah. :)

Hope she's ok!

Thanks so much for hosting this giveaway!

I am a queen of purple colors. ALL THE PURPLES!

My favorites tend to all be lip products-
Nyx Butter Gloss in Rasberry Tarte- I love the bright color I get from this. It's a mix of purple and pink and brings out my natural blush. It's not too far on the purple spectrum so I feel comfortable just throwing it on with anything.

JCat-Wonder Lip Paint- Always Late,Rabbit! (WLP 103)- This is a more muted lavender almost. Dries matte and has crazy awesome staying power.

JCat-Wonder Lip Paint- Queen of Harts (not showing on their store but)- A deep dark purple that is hardcore!

u/sundaypie · 6 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I don't like wine but these are so adorable and the colors are nice, so I think I need to get one haha.

Looking on Amazon I only saw the lip tints and since I don't like lip tints I looked around got links for the lipsticks. Here they are:

They also have a tinted lip balm in the shape of a cute wine goblet:

ByAllegory has compact and single eyeshadow holders and they’ve come so in handy! They’re on amazon and have their own website as well. They also have lipgloss organizers which are perfect for liquid lipsticks and lipglosses that would fall over in regular lipstick organizers.
I also recommend getting your lipstick organizers at the container store because they’re cheaper they’re only $6. They also have little single containers they’re perfect for storing things like concealers, mascaras, eyeliners - I have 3 of the small ones for concealers, mascaras, nail polish (i have only 4 nail polishes) and then 1 larger one for lip liners cause they tend to be longer in length.

I've been craving dat matte lip cream. I've never tried it before because there's nowhere that sells NYX in my area. :'(

And I can't find the actual recipe I used but it was similar to this and I also put raisins in it. Sooo good and gluten free if you're into that.

I think Sephora is great, but drugstore brands also have a lot to offer! Check out Ulta.com for drugstore brands and more mid-range brands that Sephora doesn't carry (Lorac being a major one!)

Thanks for hosting! When I'm bored on the internet, I'm always on IMGUR browsing the viral gallery - HILARIOUS! Editing to add: Shmitten Kitten She's hilarious!

My ideal birthday dinner would be a HUGE steaming plate of spaghetti with thick marinara sauce and huge juicy meatballs (hah balls) with a big glass of wine. MMMmmmmm can I have it now please?!?

Random fact I learned recently: You can hear Paul McCartney yell "F***ING HELL" in the middle of 'Hey Jude' because he made a mistake. It's faint, but it's there! ;)

I found mine at a beauty store when I was visiting my mother. I know that Amazon carries a lot of all the lip paints and drugstore.com has them too at a better price if you just want one and they also have the concealers too.

1: Almay Intense for Browns. I panned this version of it recently.

2: I'm super excited to try this NYX London Soft Matte out, cannot wait! :D

3: Cannot wait for this Revlon Sculpting Palette either!

I was eyeing some Muji drawers, but I opted for 2 of these instead. I like to store my foundations standing up and the open top part of this lets me do that. I have one for lip products and one for foundation/concealer/highlighter/bronzer.

I'll also second the byAlegory lip gloss organizer. I like to store lip gloss upright, too, and they kept flopping over in regular lipstick organizers.

I'd be a leaf devil whirlwind, especially right now! A small localised whirlwind of chaos that’s more interesting than actually causing trouble or damage.

I think it sums up my recent holiday attempt too - lots of bad stuff happened (pickpocketed, lost, stuck on trains, lost baggage, missed coach) but it was an interesting holiday and looked pretty like leaves swirling in the sky.

Also we actually get leaf devil whirlwinds over here and most other extreme weather kinda avoids Britain... its more cold, wet and mild... but thats no fun to be!

it's so hard to choose one thing, but i really like this lipstick!

u/zenzizenzizenzike · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I have three of those racks for my collection. They do NOT work well for long lipsticks, especially round ones.

I find that my lip glosses and rollerball perfumes are best stored in these extra tall acrylic organizers.

Honestly, I just slam it on my palm like a ketchup bottle. Does hurt after a while because it's almost impossible to get out.

An alternative is to get a small flexible spatula to scoop it out like this

u/hihotintin · 2 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I know they are taller, not sure about slimmer. Here is one on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Acrylic-Gloss-Organizer-Beauty-Care/dp/B00IM0FSCA and in the review section some people posted their own photos which should give you an idea :)

u/Mingly · 2 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

Alegory makes some really good acrylic storages.

For long tube lipsticks: x

For bullet lipsticks: x

They are on Amazon

I'm not sure where to find them in person! :)

Yeah take a look at the lip gloss reviews on the site, and also at http://www.amazon.com/Best-lip-gloss-collagen-lipgloss/dp/B00KQCRL90/

u/twentyfun · 2 pointsr/makeuporganization

Would something like this work? It's not tiered, but it is tall and made for lip glosses.

u/greenisgold11 · 22 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I have something called the Every Drop lip spatula...it's pretty much just a long handled silicone doe foot applicator that is small enough to get into slim tubes (such as a lipgloss tube) to scoop out every last bit. They also sell one that is a larger spatula made to use in wider bottles like foundation bottles. I bought mine at the Container Store but I've seen them everywhere now plus on Amazon and other places online.

Labiotte lip tints stay on for a good while. They do start coming off if you eat pizza or something greasy, but the darker colors are more persistent and sometimes stain even after scrubbing. I just end up using a lighter shade the next day. The lighter colors are more sheer and you can apply more coats.

I prefer these over Lip Ink which was also long lasting, but way more drying and more expensive. If you do go the Lip Ink route, you don't need their remover. Just use oil.

That said, nothing is 100% blow job proof because people are literally covered in oil.

u/Cuddlebunz · 2 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

TonyMoly EVERYTHING. It's so cute I can't even.

Sorry if this links wrong, on my phone and I'm phone illiterate!
