Most martial arts store should have some, or at least be able to order some for you. There's also Amazon.

You can also make some for cheap :

  • 2x 10ft electrical tubing (½ in. diameter) (5$)
  • 4x 6ft foam insulator for water pipes (10$)
  • 1x roll of duct tape (5$)

    With these, you can make two 6ft long staves (bo) and two 4ft long staves (jo). Alternatively, you could make two 2ft long tanbo instead of one jo. If you cut the pipe 2 inches short, you can pad the ends with 3-4 layers of foam to make them relatively safe for light poking.

    something like this :
    (((:::::: 5ft. 10in. pipe ::::::)))

    It's not perfect, but it's super cheap to make and can be repaired super easily, just strip the staff and put some new foam on it. Just make sure the foam is actually taped to the staff, and not just closed around it and taped over. Otherwise the staff moves a lot inside the foam as you hit stuff and it rips the foam real fast. You can tape the outside lengthwise for added durability (after you've taped on the end caps)

I highly recommend this and get this. Then when you've completed it and you're respectable at it. Just go to the most public place and practice for 1 hour. After 1 hour sit down and put a sign that says, 'You may ask me questions.' Eventually you will start a shaolin revolution. Just remember I am Grand Master Thunder Punch and there should be a picture of me in your dojo framed in cherry wood.
