I agree with the premise here, but disagree with parts of the solution. In terms of quality, a martini is really only good when it’s very cold. So by doubling the volume (unless you drink really fast), you’re significantly increasing the chances of winding up with some martini that’s much warmer than is probably pleasant. I would just invest in some smaller glasses. Look for a coupe, or Nick & Nora glass anywhere from 4.5 to 5.5 oz. and you’ll be good to go. If you prefer the straight sided ones for vodka, go for it.
I agree about the picks, though. I have stainless steel ones with skulls on the end that look great on a negroni, black Manhattan, or anything with some dramatic color to it.

This is the meal we're making for my friend's birthday at the end of the month:

Ribs (pork because cheaper) dry rubbed with German Potato Salad and Party Potatoes. We're also making a Margarita Poke cake as an experiment, there will also be Neiman Marcus cookies because they are his favorite and possibly a Bacon Brownie I have created. For drinks we're doing this champagne fruit punch (the mailer said it's a fruit salad but we're giong to make it into a punch), we'll also probably have iced tea.

Awesome comparison! The only type of glass you're missing that I'd recommend is an exaggerated tulip shaped glass. I've been using these glasses for a few weeks and have found them to perfectly balance strongly enhancing the aroma of the spirit while also dissipating ethanol fumes.

It's better than mine so far! Where did you get that wig? I have this Carol Brady type thing and I'm looking to upgrade.

Also I want to recommend something. I bought these for my cosplay. Now it can look like you're carry around booze without you having to spill anything.

I'd get one of those giant novelty martini glasses and drink water out of it from your porch. When she inevitably gripes about it, say thanks to her prayers you're down to one (gigantic) drink per day.
