I can confirm that the AmazonBasics USB 3.0 6ft and HDMI 2.0 6ft extension cables work perfectly with my Acer headset and laptop.

Will i be able to extend that cable with any of these or will that not work? Anybody tested that already?

If your PC has USB 2.0 inputs, make sure the extension cable you're using is USB 2.0 as well. If your extender is certified 3.0, use a 3.0 port. I've tried plugging a USB 3.0 extender into a USB 2.0 port and the sensor didn't work. As a last resort, try getting extension cables that other people have said worked with their sensors. I use these and they haven't given me any problems. Good luck :p

I debated this as well when I added an Android Auto head unit into my Element last month:

1. The existing USB jack is very inconvenient to plug/unplug, unless a cable is ran somewhere more accessible, at which point aesthetic value suffers (who wants a cord dragged across half the dash/console)
   
   
2. The small tray on the right at first seemed ideal, but there's nowhere to place the phone itself, unless you get a holder of some type, but there was nothing I could find that wouldn't interfere with operation of the vehicle (either too close to the wheel, or low enough to hit with my leg while driving). Mounting the phone higher again means a USB cable being run across the dash/console in some manner, and with Android Auto you don't need to look at the phone anyways.
   
3. Still inconvenient to plug in, and has USB cords running all over

This is the solution I settled on: You can drop a USB extension down through the front center console (straight down behind the dash where the radio is mounted), run it underneath the floor mat to the center console area. Then I added a USB plug and magnetic cellphone holder to the front of the center console. Mind the placement to ensure you don't obstruct the parking brake operation, nor the drink holder.

   Now when I get in, I plug my phone into a short ~6-inch USB cable, and then let the magnetic holder hang onto it while driving. Easily reachable, simple to unplug/take with me, and the radio is all android auto so I have no need to look at the phone while it's docked/charging.

I am using a 16 ft. USB 3.0 active adapter and also have a 6 ft. USB 3.0 (non active) plugged into the same sensor (totaling in 22 ft.) no issues and shows up as USB 3.0 on Oculus Home.

I have one of these and it is the greatest thing ever. I have rechargeable batteries in it and I'm good to go. The air mouse feature is absolutely legit. I recommend placing the USB receiver somewhere close to your TV. Despite that it works over radio frequencies, it can sometimes behave like a line-of-sight device. Controlling the mouse with your remote is absolutely a game changer

edit: I mean you move your hand around with the controller to control the cursor

Typically you're not supposed to use one but I use one and have zero issues.

I bought both of these and it works flawlessly as far as I can tell. I run an EVGA GTX 1060 6GB.

Usually what I do is run the ones behind the monitor down the back of the monitor desk mount, then back behind/under the desk using either cable channels or mountable zip ties, and then buy extensions for any of the cables on amazon if I need them

I use this hdmi extender and usb extension cable. I used a spare hdmi cable I had.

Just make sure to follow the input and output on the hdmi extender. It won’t work otherwise and you risk spending an hour trying to figure out why.

Keep in mind you'll also need a USB 3.0 port. They're colored blue. The HMD also plugs into this, in addition to the HDMI.

There are the USB 3.0 and HDMI cables I ordrered. Worked for both my headset and one of my sensors. I gave the extra HDMI to my friend for his Oculus he just ordered.
