Reddit mentions of Amiibo Marth (Japanese import)

The dark days ended late last year. He's normal price now, more or less. NA ones are a little pricier but unless you're a hardcore in-box collector it doesn't matter where it comes from.

Well I'll be damned, it did finally sell out @ Bestbuy. There are JP versions available on Amazon. They all seem to be around $17-$20, that'd probably be your best bet.

Marth on amazon.jp... should I buy? Doesn't seem possible for $10.

I don't think they're being discontinued. I ordered a Sheik amiibo off of Amazon that's supposed to come out next month. They do have a Marth amiibo that's a Japanese import, though.

I couldn't order direct, so I had to use a site for me. I used Japamart to order for me and have it shipped to me.

The prices are already about 10 bucks more than the other Amiibo. However, they seem to be the only really expensive ones. Wii Fit is still only 15 bucks if you wanna get her.
