Why don't you check out the Belkin WaveRest series?

I own the keyboard rest and I've re ordered it about 3 times in the past 15+ years. If it ain't broke don't fix it. And the material used is proper quality, not the typical super soft air filled gel rest, it's a sturdy and very durable rest that is very comfortable.
Highly recommend it!
Anecdotal evidence only. Using a wrist mat helps me when typing for long periods. It should to stabilize your wrist when gaming for long periods.
Just buy one of these

It's just a basic wrist wrest from Amazon. Helps with wrist, elbow pain while typing.
You can buy a wrist rest for any keyboard. I use this with my CM Storm Quickfire TK and I love it. Of course, there are different ones from gel pads. If you find a keyboard you really like and it doesn't have a wrist rest, just pair it with a wrist rest.
Do it man. It's pretty bare bones in terms of not having all the flashy lit up keys or macro keys and a wizbang multi-media stuff but if you're in a professional/corporate/military/government work environment where that type of stuff would probably be frowned upon, there is virtually no equal when it comes to aesthetics and performance.
One tip though, buy a wrist rest. It doesn't come with one and it sorely needs one. This belkin fits perfectly.
I also added o-rings to mine, not to quiet it down (they didn't make the keys any quieter to be honest) but to shorten the travel just a little. I was used to the extremely short key travel of my old keytronics membrane keyboard I was using so when I started using the cherries, although the key strokes registered far before the keys bottomed out, my fingers just weren't used to going that far down before the keys bottomed out.
O-rings shortened it perfectly.
For me it was wrist alignment. Try to get your wrists level, keeping your chair the same height or very close is usually best.
Some people like a foam bar that you rest your palms on ex: https://www.amazon.com/Belkin-WaveRest-Wrist-Keyboards-F8E263-BLK/dp/B00004Z5RA
I also use a wrist brace to help keep my wrist straight when my symptoms are bad.
I would/tend to sleep on my hands and it amplified this problem, my doctor recommended the wrist braces they work well.
>I decided I'd rather have one with MX-Blues or Browns
Browns and Blues are very different as they are tactile(browns) and clicky(Blues) not linear like reds, they are both pretty light switches as well, are you sure you don't want something slightly stiff like clears(tactile) or blacks(linear) because if you get browns or blues you might continue to accidentally holding down keys. .
>I want a full size keyboard, preferably tkl
Full size and tkl are different things, this is full size, and this is tkl
> I need it to be backlit
why?
>I want it to have a wrist rest like the corsair k-series does.
You can buy wrist rests separately for a low cost like this or this or even this if you need it to be 1337
I personally have the 810 which has the same layout as the 610. I personally like the minimalist layout of them as I already have a G13. Not to mention that the the volume wheel is nice too. I feel like all the 710 has to offer is a whole of 6 more programmable keys and a wrist rest. If you really wanted a nice wrist rest you can get a nice minimalist gel one on amazon for a few bucks. You could sell the 710 for a small profit and get a wrist rest like this one.
Here's what I did, which really helped me with this exact problem.
Get a gel arm rest and put it on the edge of your desk to rest your elbow on.
Something like this.

This is the wrist rest I used to use. I would definitely recommend it if you're getting a full-sized keyboard. It's a little bit too big for my keyboard so I decided to get the new one.
This one looks good.
I use something similar to this https://www.amazon.com/Belkin-WaveRest-Wrist-Keyboards-F8E263-BLK/dp/B00004Z5RA/ref=pd_aw_fbt_147_img_2/137-4665698-0250065?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00004Z5RA&pd_rd_r=1f923c67-c107-4637-af87-f0fae4d352aa&pd_rd_w=6kifg&pd_rd_wg=pda2E&pf_rd_p=3ecc74bd-d08f-44bd-96f3-d0c2b89f563a&pf_rd_r=YZ2EGH72S2CHZKHDF9AS&psc=1&refRID=YZ2EGH72S2CHZKHDF9AS&th=1
Don't have the Strafe, but I use this one. It might not be tall enough though.
I wouldn't worry so much... They aren't going to make you have surgery, they are just going to tell you to wear a brace, take some advil (with food), and do some carpal tunnel exercises. The brace you have in your post is good, but if its too annoying, take out the metal piece and adjust it to make it more comfortable. If you have to, wear it without the metal piece.
Surgery is for extreme cases. You need to change a few things that you do.
Also, they make wrist rests for night time, but they aren't very comfortable and you can't really wear them during the day:

Here!
Get you one of these, absolute must.
