I have a Bikehand floor rack that works great. They list the max tire width at 2.4" but it works fine for my 2.8" tires...barely. Smallest I've used it for is 700x32 and it holds everything fine.
Not sure if you're set on doing something vertical, but if you can tolerate parking them on the ground I highly recommend the Bike Hand Bike Rack. I believe they make some dual racks as well, but I like the single ones for portability.
The mechanism works well to retain the wheel from front or back and it even works with my 2.4" knobby MTB tires.
