Go cheap. I really like my super cheap B&D toaster toaster oven. You'll have to experiment with times and temperatures but this oven will do the job for way less and with less bother than the LCD+Clock+Digital competition.
Alright so I'm home now and looking around my apartment. You need this specific Fabuloso in your life with a spray bottle from the dollar store. A toaster oven because you can stick bread in it with toppings! I could never live without a toast oven again...lol. DO you have all your utensils and plenty of dish towels, bath towels and oven mits. Do you have plenty of lamps (this apartment and my last apartment lacked lighting)

It's like a regular broiler oven with heat elements on both the top and bottom (selectable), but in a small countertop version. Great for making small things other than toast.
My favorite is pizza muffins: Cut English muffin in half, pre-toast a little. Add pizza sauce, parmesan cheese, American or mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni slices. Put in broiler or toaster oven and cook until the cheese is bubbly. Final (and most important) step: Eat before they have had a chance to properly cool, and scorch the shit out of the roof of your mouth.
