If you are willing to spend >$400 a good quality cordless electric impact will be really useful on a farm. I don't know how we ever farmed without one. They have as much or more torque as an air impact and no need to bring equipment to the shop/compressor. On the cheaper side, a lot of older folks haven't experienced the beauty of a good, high powered LED headlamp. Go for a hiking/camping type like PETZL the "mechanic" types are pretty clunky. You could also do a recon of their toolbox, a set of 'stubby' box wrenches or higher end racheting gear wrenches will become favorites quickly for someone who doesn't have them. I love my blackhawks but williams makes a good set too.
