I have this scope mount on my M14 if that interests you. The rings are wider than the Matrix rebrand scope I have so I wrapped it in electrical tape and it sits well. a bit more secure than just one ring if you are interested.

The mount feels very durable so far I can't wait to use it.

This cheap one has been working fine for one of my AR's and one of my brothers ARs. It's held zero for over a year including during a 4 day rifle class and a 2 gun action challenge match. It's not the best or lightest but it's cheap and works.

I got one of these. Haven't mounted the optic and shot with it yet but reviews are good and its hard to beat that price.

I have one on my budget PSA AR build. I mounted it and haven't had any problems. The mounting bolts/nuts feel cheap but the actual mount is sturdy.

I would probably spring for a nicer mount if you are building a high end AR or a long range precision type rifle, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy it for a budget build or plinker.

There are a couple hundred amazon reviews: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/cr/B00DP26OUK/ref=mw_dp_cr

FWIW, I picked up this one from amazon:

CCOP MNT-1516 High Profile AR-ArmourTac Rifle Scope Mount Rings for Picatinny Rail, 30mm for $28 and have been very happy with it.

Don't have a PEPR to compare it to side by side, but it's a little bulky...and a little heavy, but....if that's all the PEPR is, why not spend half the money and get the amazon one.

If you're going with a LaRue, or a Aero Precision, then that's a different ballgame.

1. Yes
2. Rings are https://www.amazon.com/CCOP-MNT-1516-Profile-AR-ArmourTac-Picatinny/dp/B00DP26OUK
Scope is a Vortex crossfire 2
3. Yeppers
4. Yes, same ammo, same batch, bad grouping. Tried different ammo, same result.
*5. Even tested with a shooter who regularly removes groundhogs at 1500yds, bad grouping.

I can garauntee you the fault is nowhere but the scope or the scope mount. The scope mount is cheaper, but holds the scope solid and is at proper torque.
