if you plan to keep the car, I would say yes. I have the Creator C310+ and it works well for regular obd codes and Manufacturer DTCs. it's nothing fancy but it's one of the cheaper ones
Those will do engine codes, but not airbag/brake codes. I had to get this to clear them in my Mini:

You would need a different one, as I'm not familiar with Hondas, but I posted that one as an example.

You'll also need to order an adapter to connect it to the round port under the hood...you can find that for like $8 on eBay. I've been pretty happy with it.
