According to this Amazon review page "blue mode" is humidity sensing and "yellow mode" is full-on?
I install this fan in my basement bathroom. The fan is fairly quiet and has a great humidity sensing feature. Leave it set and it kicks on when the shower starts steaming up the bathroom automatically. Great in a basement where guests shower as they won't have to worry about it. I did the 130 CFM version which can completely remove the air in the bathroom in less than 5 minutes.
If someone is hoping to use the fan noise to conceal louder bathroom body functions they may be sad.
LG makes one and I've researched it heavily.
It costs as much as a washer and a dryer. It doesn't get your clothes super dry. It does not require a dryer vent, which might be good, but you also don't have the option of using a dryer vent if you decide you want to. Therefore, it can raise the humidity in your house because that water has to go somewhere. Also, they are probably slow.
All that said, many people love these machines.
My personal plan was to replace the washer and dryer with a pair of these to speed up the whole laundry process, but that's spending a whole lot of money.
i was also planning to put this in the laundry room to combat any additional humidity the machines might create.
