Depends on what type of footage you need and whether it needs to be standalone I suppose. You can buy one of those self contained endoscope cameras like this which records to an SD card. Quality isn't going to be stellar but I'm guessing something like that's more fitting to your requirements than looking for an actual camera.

As others mention and see what's the what. And then I'd probably buy a bunch of hardpack and start shoving it into the hole as good as I can.

If it's a big cavity and you can't fill it in properly then I'd do some demo of the pavement and get it patched after you fill it in.

But the most important thing is preventing it from getting worse or happening again. What is the source of this vacancy? What is uphill of that earth?
