Is a 2070 xc gaming a good value at $364? Or is the 5700x a better buy?

Edit: I may try my hand at streaming for fun. And I do some light video editing on da vinci resolve.

Snagged two Black Friday deals on GPU's and wondering which one to keep/return. I posted the price at which I got them.

Option 1: EVGA RTX 2070 XC Gaming for $484.99

Option 2: MSI GTX 1070 Ti Titanium for $409.99

What are your opinions?

Will this work if I buy it on amazon? Thinking of this 2070

Thanks

I've been seeing the 5700xt posted a lot around here. I might have to look at it. I was looking at the 2070 super as well. Is there any specific 2070 super you would suggest? I was looking at this one.

https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-RTX-2070-XC-08G-P4-2172-KR/dp/B07J63W42X/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=2070+super&qid=1567986574&s=gateway&sr=8-6

E: I just noticed the one I linked is a normal 2070, derp on my part.

u/lmso0 · 2 pointsr/buildapcforme

I like it, but I was really hoping to fit a Nvidia card in the build over the 5700xt. I did a little reading on the RTX card streaming stuff, and it sounds promising. Here's a thread about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/obs/comments/aez3i3/stream_setup_upgrade_rtxryzen3000_vs_dedicated/

You don't need the WD Black since the blue will performance wise be the same. The black is slightly more durable I would say(has longer warranty). Up to you there, if the $30 is worth the I think 2 year difference in warranty(3vs5). It might be 2 vs 5 though.

Actually now that I am thinking about it, you could get that RTX 2070 on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-RTX-2070-XC-08G-P4-2172-KR/dp/B07J63W42X/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=evga+2070&qid=1564024981&s=gateway&sr=8-1

Buying the card on newegg gets you a free games: https://www.newegg.com/evga-geforce-rtx-2070-08g-p4-2172-kr/p/N82E16814487412?Description=rtx%202070&cm_re=rtx_2070-_-14-487-412-_-Product

EVGA(the brand that makes the card) offers a step-up program, and you can upgrade your card for 90 days. They attribute the money spent, towards an upgrade.
So ideally you could get a 2070 super for $50+shipping in a month or so. Here's info on that program: https://www.evga.com/support/stepup/

I used this program myself to upgrade from a 1080ti to a 2080ti on the 89th day haha. Only downside here is you would be without a PC during the shipping(1-2 weeks). I think I got mine in about a week, since they are located in CA.

Honestly hard to give you definitive advice with current state of GPUs, and with you looking to build ASAP.

Welp, guess RTX 2070 was more my swing. Amazon is offering a payment plan for this one so I couldn't pass that up. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07J63W42X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

There are some really good 2070s for about $550. I wouldn't pay more for that, slight overclocks aren't worth it.

Here's a good example:
https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-RTX-2070-XC-08G-P4-2172-KR/dp/B07J63W42X/

Interestingly that's the exact price I paid for my EVGA GTX 1080 SC about 2 years ago.

u/i_had_a_friend_once · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

id say stick with 2070 you linked or if your willing to pay a little more EVGA dose a better version of that card linked below for $550, just has a higher boost clock( few more fps) . https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-RTX-2070-Black-08G-P4-1071-KR/dp/B07J63W42X/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=1070%2Bti&qid=1558227357&s=gateway&sr=8-4&th=1 y

u/symphonyalpha · 1 pointr/buildapc

you could get this card for 500euros. for 2k gaming, a 2080 would be the best but they would be way out of your budget.

u/RedBIitz · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Earlier I saw an rtx 2070 super for $450 which may have just been a sale because that model is more expensive now and it was pretty big so it may not have even fit. Although I found this one on amazon for $480 that’s smaller also https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-RTX-2070-XC-08G-P4-2172-KR/dp/B07J63W42X/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?keywords=rtx+2070+super&qid=1568324838&s=gateway&sr=8-8
I also saw some used that were pretty cheap on amazon if you’re comfortable with doing that. You can always still go amd if you want and I would even go with a 5700 reference card over an rtx 2060 because the performance boost would easily be enough even with it running hot.

u/Kllertax0 · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

I'm looking to upgrade my gpu and on amazon the 2070 is currently $100 cheaper than this 1070. A friend of my said that the 2070 is better in some aspects but not all. Is the 2070 worth it especially at this price?
EDIT: I curretntly have a 770

Ok, I like the intel build. trying to throw it together with just newegg and Amazon.

So going off that what would you recommend for 500gb SSD and a 2tb(give or take)HDD combo?

Also, is this the same card you reccomended?

u/APr0N00b · 1 pointr/ValveIndex

Hmm this one

https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-RTX-2070-XC-08G-P4-2172-KR/dp/B07J63W42X/

Or this one? I'm trying to find one on Amazon at the moment since I can do a payment plan for it.

https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=08G-P4-3173-KR

I'm also hearing the RTX 2060 is more bang for your buck with the 2070 costing way more for not much of an improvement

u/scoobots · 1 pointr/graphicscard

Thanks for your response. Would this EVGA 2070 XC be the Super version you were recommending?
