I'm thinking maybe $30 in labor, not the part.
What I plan on doing in the future is just buying one on amazon (like this, which fits my s80 https://www.amazon.com/CF10435-Fresh-Breeze-Filter-Hammer/dp/B00GYTEA9S/ref=sr_1_3?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1499808116&vehicle=2008-27-147-216--1-6-6-8966--1-1-5003--1-0&sr=1-3&ymm=2008%3Avolvo%3As80&keywords=cabin+air+filter) that I know will fit and then whenever I get an oil change done at a place that will also check / replace the cabin filter (Valvoline, Firestone, etc. will all do this) have one one hand that they can replace it with if it needs replacing. I don't know if Volvos have a standard size cabin air filter that most places on hand, I just know that the engine air filters the oil change places always tell me that they won't have one that fits.
