I'm having a bit of trouble deciding what I want to rock on my next board. I've only ever ridden a downhill setup with 42 degree trucks because that's what I had as a brand new rider who was clueless when buying. So I don't know if I want to get a freeride board next or a better downhill one. Basically I'm trying to decide between some Calibers with a 44 degree angles or with a 50 degree and round or square lipped wheels. The hills that I ride around here will get me up to about 30-35 at most. I like the idea of easy slides with a round lip but I'm a bit worried that they'll come off too easily when I want to just go around corners without sliding. I've also only ever ridden some pretty crappy downhill wheels so I don't really know how it feels to slide on a good pair of square lipped wheels.

I'd love to just hear from people who've ridden both types of setups and see what you guys think. I've also considered maybe 44 degree trucks with a round lip so the board holds better at higher speeds but can also slide. Again the only thing I'm worried about is how easy the wheels will come out from under me. These for instance. https://www.amazon.com/Free-Wheel-Co-Thoughts-Longboard/dp/B0115S19M8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1473057237&sr=8-1&keywords=thought+70mm+wheels I like the idea that they're easy to break into a slide with and people say they don't wear a ton but it scares me a bit that they're so hard and slippery.
