Only a decent deal if you want the games, otherwise there's the Aorus 580 8gb for $210 ($230 - $20 rebate).

u/callcifer · 7 pointsr/linux_gaming

You are being downvoted because this sub hates Nvidia, but this is a good recommendation. 1050Ti is $186 on Amazon but the RX580 is $250.

/u/tony_montana83 personally I'd go with the 1050Ti or even a 1060 if you are willing to pay around $250.

Finding a <$300 RX 580 8GB on Amazon isn't all that hard?

Not exactly what you want but 230 for a 580 with a 20$ mail in rebate.

u/machinehead933 · 2 pointsr/buildapc

Oh shit you're right. see here I'm not sure why though.

The only thing I could think of is the link I provided to the 580 before included an affiliate tag for pcpartpicker.com, so maybe that's why? At any rate - here is the comment again, with said tag removed:

Monitor: My go-to recommendation is the Viewsonic XG2402 (or the older model XG2401)

For a card, I would recommend an RX 580 over a 6G 1060, unless you find a killer deal on a 1060. Performance is basically the same, but you get the added benefit of being able to use Freesync - which the Viewsonic is a Freesync enabled monitor

Gigabyte RX 580 for $230, is a great deal.

Honesty for the ram I just saw the sale and chucked it over. Just like I’m about to do with this lol:
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B06Y46X4L9/ref=s9_acsd_top_hd_bw_bjpdqN_c_x_1_w?pf_rd_m=A1IM4EOPHS76S7&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-11&pf_rd_r=TMPP1D4SR1Y1ND0AZM0H&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=6520361d-e367-53a2-93dd-57d0a8c7efad&pf_rd_i=677243011

If you look at my build , it looks pretty aesthetic, even the ram, and all I did was buy this:
Extended Computer LED Strip Kit -... https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07DD54QCM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I’d save money where I mentioned and go for a better gpu. I looked up the wireless adapter and belkin has a good one for $28 which is great but for that price yeah maybe just go with the mobo you have.
Either way though, you have a great build and you’ll probably be so happy with it that you won’t go back to console. I play on a 144hz monitor and my 1070 + 2600 outs out over 200fps in fortnite which is so smooth that I can never go back to console. It’ll legit hurt my eyes.
Do you have a monitor btw? Would you be willing to get a 75hz or 144hz? If not, stick with what you have for sure.

If you want a cheap decent 580, the gigabyte AORUS is 284

I was going back and forth between a 1060 6GB and RX 580 8GB. I currently game at 1080p on just regular 60hz though I do want to upgrade to a higher resolution monitor down the road within a year or two.

I currently have the Gigabyte 1060 6GB G1 Gaming Rev 2 ordered as of an hour ago that I got for $290 (before tax) and I currently have a Gigabyte Aorus 580 8GB locked down and ordered for $360 that will be in stock next week.

Which of the two cards would give me more longevity? And is it likely the price on the rx 580 would lower to around $300 in the next couple months? The stuff I've been reading says that the 580 with better DX12 and Vulkan APIs should offer better performance down the road. What timeframe would be expected that the 580 would surpass most popular games?

u/macr1408 · 1 pointr/Mercadoreddit

Están a buen precio. Podés fijarte. Te puedo hacer rebaja si comprás 4 u 8. Pero necesito saber cuantas querés. Las que están sin el cover le bajo 20 USD, porque funcionan perfectamente

u/wallyTHEgecko · 1 pointr/ultrawidemasterrace

Rx580 8gb. Specifically this one... I say it never dips, but granted, I'm mostly playing games that are a few years old. For newer games, I'd probably have to knock the settings back a notch or two.

u/tbone13billion · 1 pointr/hackintosh

RX 580 is the same speed as the GTX 1060 and is fully compatible with macOS, it's starting to get low again, here is an example:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y46X4L9?pf_rd_p=d1f45e03-8b73-4c9a-9beb-4819111bef9a&pf_rd_r=WFAA65C5NK5HD5DS7T7R&pldnSite=1

Alternatively if you are poor like me, get a vega second hand, I just got a vega 64 for like $340

u/jfcarbon · 1 pointr/buildapc

I have 2 FreeSync Monitors. I want to utilize a double monitor set up. I'm interested in getting this RX580.

If I want to get that GPU, it has (3 DP, 1 HDMI, 1 DVI). Would using 1 HDMI and 1 DP be bad for the monitors/set up?

Here is my build thus far: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7Zb4ZR

Thank you!!!

RX 580

I recommend getting this video card instead.

u/a-e-r-i-z-e-n · 1 pointr/buildapc

the AORUS RX 580 is currently in a deal where it’s cheaper than the MSI RX 580 ($230 vs $280), is the AORUS one worth it? :)

u/butterypanda · 1 pointr/buildapc

Ah I guess I just expected them to be a bit cheaper. But these bad boys

https://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-RX-580-8G-OC/dp/B06XZZ93FQ/?tag=amazongs-21&th=1

https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-AORUS-Radeon-Graphic-GV-RX580AORUS-8GD/dp/B06Y46X4L9/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1549876525&sr=1-3&keywords=rx+580

are still $270-280 - yea they're both 8gb, but the 4gb version of the Armor is still relatively the same price.

Although I've had my eye on the Sapphire 580 4gb for about $190.

u/TheSwankyDanky · 1 pointr/PCBuilds

Can you get an extended warranty on it? I have trouble trusting used products but this is a pretty good deal, a new Strix 580 is going for like $370. If you don’t mind going with another brand, here are some cheaper 580s with similar specs:

Aorus Card

MSI Card

Red Devil Card

I can understand why you’d want the Strix though. Beautiful card. It’s really up to you, just be careful. If you can somehow get more warranty on the Strix I’d say it’s a pretty good deal.

u/shimposter · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

Not especially, in theory they should be coming down as time goes on, but no guarantee on the timeline unfortunately. It looks like Amazon has an MSI 8gb for $249 and the 4gb was on sale for $163 not too long ago and if you're flexible on GPU, the GTX 1060s have been popping up even cheaper than the 580

ETA: There might be a catch, but at a glance here's one for $229

u/relevant_pet_bug · 1 pointr/buildapc

24 inch 1980 X 1080 is considered better for gaming. Especially for esports titles.

It's always a good idea to check /r/buildapcsales before you pull the trigger because PCPartpicker does not scan every site, nor does it's price scraper get every deal.

Proof:

Better Ram then the Team for cheaper then the price the team would have been 2 weeks ago. You'll need to sign up at rakuten to get the deal.

RX580 for cheaper.

u/faizimam · 1 pointr/bapcsalescanada

This gigabyte aorus rx 580 8gb on Amazon.com for $220USD seems like the best deal around right now

https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-AORUS-Radeon-Graphic-GV-RX580AORUS-8GD/dp/B06Y46X4L9

I know my credit card will take a cut when I pay for it, but what other fees can I expect when buying electronics from Amazon.com

u/chihsuanmen · 1 pointr/buildapc

I'm starting to spec out parts for a new build and came across this graphics card on Amazon. According to my research, it's equivalent to a NVIDIA 1060.

Any recommendations for or against? I never build to top-of-the-line, so this card seems like it provides a lot of bang for the buck.

u/Sir_Sockflobbit · 1 pointr/Amd

Thanks! not a fan of the red an black though :/, is there much of a difference between the two different models of gigabyte Aorus cards? There is the XTR model which I cannot seem to find at any retailers here in Canada, but there is another Aorus card

Thanks for the help! I think I’ve found the RAM I want.

On a side note, I’m looking a GPUs now. Any thoughts on this?

> All the 10/10 games are on consoles and don’t make it to PC anyway.

I can think of a number of 10/10 games from the past two decades from the PC catalog; The sheer amount of games makes that easy.

>Plus, why would you want to pay for and maintain a massive piece of hardware attached to a little screen.

If I spent as much as people do on TV's I can get a stupid-sized monitor, or monitors...or just use the TV with a $10 cable (or a Steam Link) because PCs are flexible like that ¯\ (ツ)

>maintain

At least I can fix a Red Ring of Death instead of sending it to some factory in China.

>We’ll all be streaming games one day

Yeah, probably with microchips in our brains projecting images onto our retinas, one day. Not anytime soon. Why bother with consoles? One day they're not going to be comparable either.

>$1,000 graphics cards

C'mon...now you're just taking the piss. Here's the RX-580 for $250, which paired with a decent rig will smoke the consoles.

There's no need to perpetuate misinformation.
