YOu need to plug the oculus into the native HDMI port on your gpu that is the recommended configuration. And buy an adapter to do DP > HDMI for your screen.

I think this is the adatper you need

So build a new PC that works great. I have dual monitors (GPU has 3 DP ports and 1 HDMI) so I have monitor going to DP and other to HDMI. I hooked up my TV to 3 port but needed to get a convertor from DP to HDMI so I bought this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MZ6UT21/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_KorLDbM1V5HX0

Weird thing is when I connect TV (even when TV is off). I notice lag on things on PC such as games. Immediately gone when unplugged.

Any one run into this? Should I use the convertor on 2nd monitor and hook up TV to straight HDMI or it's the problem with the active convertor I bought?

Thanks

So I found these puppies.

HDMI 2.0 15ft https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DI8A3HQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Then the DP to HDMI Adapter
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MZ6UT21/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Both get great reviews and the DP to HDMI adapter says it supports 4k@60hz and the HDMI cable is 2.0 Also the DP adapter does support audio output as well. I WAS hoping to find a one cable solution but I think at the moment as you said it's better to play it safe and get what I need in 2 then later go for a one cable solution.

About $35 bucks total doesn't seem so bad.

Something to do with length and throughput. It's not something everyone needs but i can for example replicate it on almost every TCL of that same model and year I have. A high bandwidth 4k cable wouldn't work over HDMI 2.0 but works fine from the computer over DP to HDMI. I stopped fighting it and just went with the method that worked. It's becoming less coming now that standards are all upgrading and tv's are coming with more features. This could fix your issue, or it may not, but it has been a pratical common fix for many.

As a side note, of the 10 or so times I've made this recommendation to people, its fixed their issue every time. I'll give you the money if it doesn't work for you that's how sure of it I am.
