amazon had these on sale for $16.24, so of course I could not resist buying one.
I'd had it less than a day when I remembered /u/porquejorge's cool post where he paired his Weekender with a nice Hadley-Roma mesh bracelet. There was nothing else to do, of course, but to rip off his style immediately.
The bracelet was easy to install and adjust (TIMEX uses surprisingly robust spring bars, by the way), and I think it looks terrific. The red seconds-hand makes this really work nicely, in my opinion.
The mesh bracelet is of higher-quality than I was expecting, and the watch itself is lighter and quieter (thank God) than I thought it would be. 38mm is just right. For $37 all-told, I am well-pleased.
And /u/porquejorge? I feel no remorse whatsoever. An unapologetic thief, I am.

A mesh band with interlock clasp like this is probably as close as it gets without going custom.

Pulls out a hair or two every time I use it but I am definitely satisfied. Also very easy to make adjustments, takes 10 seconds and no tools necessary (obviously once the bracelet is attached to the case)

Basically, if it's metal (not the music, do you understand the rabbit-hole we're tumbling down?) and it's on a wristwatch, I call it a bracelet.
The mesh bracelet on that Weekender is this one. It is beautiful, bullet-proof and so, so comfortable.

A Hadley Roma mesh bracelet would also look really good. I wear one from time to time and it's a really great old-school look. Here's mine on my vintage speedy

Hi /r/Watches!
I've been on the hunt for six months now for the perfect band for this watch, and I think my search is finally over! This Orient Esteem was my first automatic. While I loved the dial and case, I never liked the super shiny leather band it came on. I switched it out for a black perlon, and while I liked that better, it was too dressed down for what I wanted it to be. After finally trying a stainless steel mesh strap, I felt like I found a fit! What do you guys think?
I'm open to honest feedback, so please let me know if any other band would look better! I want to wear this as a dress watch.
In case anyone is wondering, I purchased this Hadley Roma band. I would recommend it, I feel that it's well made for the price and I think it looks great.
