I’m seeing the same bag for $55 from Amazon too.

Yeah... There’s not much to it, but It works for me since I don’t like side-bags (there’s a small swingarm bag as well on the opposite side that you can’t see in this pic).

I bit the bullet and bought a detachable Harley sissy bar for the back, with an integrated luggage rack (you can see my jacket bundled up on it behind the duffel).

When I pack for more than a day I use that duffel bag with a medium/large spider bungee cord (also from HD), on top of the rear seat so it doesn’t rub on the paint. Packs enough for a long weekend easily, maybe a bit more than a week in the summer with lighter clothes.

Best part is, if you pack it correctly—with the soft stuff towards your back—it makes for a great backrest on long rides!

I have this one that I like. I love the shoe compartment.

I travel every other weekend, usually a two to three nights stay. Baring the obvious underwear and toiletries, I'd say I take:

  • One pair of jeans (plus the ones I will be wearing to travel in)
  • Couple of henley's/t-shirts (depending on time of the year)
  • A flannel shirt
  • OCBD (for going to dinner)
  • A knit jumper
  • Pair of casual shoes (New Balance or Converse, I'll most likely be wearing boots whilst I travel)
  • Laptop and chargers
  • GoPro and cable
  • Book
  • Diary
  • Potentially some workout gear

Accessories like belt, watch, etc will already be on me at the time, same as chukka boots. I like to travel as lightly as possible due to the fact I have to take a two trains, and the London Underground, at peak hours on a Friday evening. Getting through the crowds is tough enough, I don't want to be weighed down any more than I need to be.
If you're interested, this is the bag I use - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Herschel-Supply-Company-Duffel-Liters/dp/B0077CLCWO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1487790968&sr=8-1&keywords=herschel%2Bnovel%2Bduffle%2Bbag&th=1

I didn't pay full price for it, I got it in a sale. I'd recommend it, solely on the fact it has a separate compartment for shoes. Although, I imagine many other bags have that function.
