OG StemPod user here, hope this helps...

  1. This is simply the nature of convection vaping. It's not as easy for beginners. Using TCR vs wattage mode can definitely help in that regard. You'll need SS coils to make that happen... a few bucks on the MPL site.

  2. I'd highly recommend a heat sink. This is the one I use and it's great... doesn't affect resistance whatsoever: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074Z1TV9W/

  3. Herb when first packed is moist and cold. As you vape it, it loses that moisture and heats up. With a convection vape, this will affect hit-to-hit performance. Over time you learn to predict and react to this phenomenon. You also learn that VERY minute changes in draw speed have drastic effects. You may think you're drawing the same hit to hit, but chances are you are not if you're new to this.

  4. I wrap my important stems in silicone tubing and high heat silicone self-stick wrap (https://smile.amazon.com/Homgaty-Sealing-Insulation-Silicone-Waterproof/dp/B0779MCF6V) to protect them and keep my lips cool. It's a bit sticky for a pocket, but you could use some heat shrinking around it to your tastes. I've done that and it turns out nice (https://reddit.com/r/vaporents/comments/bnk8ug/the_gimp/)
