This is the best disc I've found. Holds the flight pattern of a Discraft while still being soft enough to not hurt my pup and it's also fairly indestructable.
For a more traditional disc that is durable, but flies relatively well compared to Hero Discs, I would go with a [Hyperflite Jawz] (https://www.amazon.com/Hyperflite-Jawz-Disc-4-Inch-Blueberry/dp/B002CM3O6G) disc. They are puncture resistant and can fly a lot further than the soft rubber or foam discs. They are also softer than Hero Discs, which makes them a little safer. They are more expensive than other discs, but I have had mine for over a year without any punctures holes. They are heavier than Hero Discs so they don't float quite as well, but they can carry some distance, especially compared to the Kong flyers.

I use that brand and theyve held up extremely well, one of mine is much like y'alls where half the time hed rather try to destroy it after fetching it.
Have you tried either the Zogoflex Zisc or the Hyperflite Jawz? Those two have held up very well with our Aussie, who shredded the Kong frisbee in minutes.
Edited to add: Looks like Leerburg still has the Chewber in stock
