Let's see... Born in a kind of small town. ~100k population. My city is 55% hispanic, 35% redneck, and 10% other. I feel like I had a pretty normal childhood. Went to preschool in a church for 2 years, and proceeded to kindergarten without incident. My parents were competitive volleyball players so I was dragged there a lot. My dad was more athletic than my mom - rode his bike 3 miles to my daycare with me towed in one of these and then another ~10 miles to work every day. I don't really remember much of what my mom did. Bible study every monday night. Other than that, not a whole lot.
Exciting highlights of my young childhood are far and few between. Probably the two best stories I have are these: Once, when I was ~6, I convinced 10 kids at my daycare to eat grass, leaves, and weeds. I don't remember how but I had them all doing it without ever eating leaves myself. I wish I could remember haha. The second would probably be the time I ran away from home. I wasn't allowed to cross the street unless I was holding hands with someone who was older than me, so I got my neighbor (who was ~5 months older), held his hand, and ran away. We didn't get far. We eventually came home on our own, but not before I picked "apology flowers" from another neighbors yard and brought them back with us haha.
