I’m sure it would. The only thing I would check is how the edge support is on your mattress. If your sitting on the edge, does it sink a lot and potentially put the table at an angle?
This is what I have and really like it. I have a couch on the opposite wall of my PC Desk and an OLED TV mounted above my monitor. So I game a little harder at the desk at 144hz, then sit back on the couch with this lap pad and switch the PC to the TV for some relaxed, beautiful 4K. It’s awesome for streaming something on the iPad too, when my wife and I want to watch different things, or I’m trying to watch multiple games at the same time (like right now with the NHL playoffs), without holding the tablet the whole time.

Do not put your notebook on the bed, ever.
The fans suck in dust particles from inside your bed which is very bad for the lifespan of the notebook in general.
It's not easy to clean this dust, even when opening the notebook as it gets blown inside the chassis everywhere and you would need to completely disasseble the cooling system. Just don't do it and/or buy a laptop pad like this:
