Marshal makes portable bluetooth speakers. They don't look exactly like this one, but still close. Sound quality is quite good too. Might be more useful to a common consumer than their mini amps.

Five dollars? That's such a good deal. I've had this in my wish list because it's too expensive for me right now

P = VI, or power = voltage times current. If it's 50W running at 220V, you need 227mA to keep it running, or 24 volts at roughly 2 amps. You can make a battery that size, and then you'll have to look at the rating on the battery. 200mAh means it can supply 200 mA for one hour, so in your case with 50W at 2 amps: 6 minutes. Then there's the question whether the battery can supply that kind of current, etc.

Then you'll have to figure out how to convert it from DC to AC, which is what your amplifier runs at. I suspect it won't be a small task for a newbie, but it can be done.

Edit: Get one of those portable Marshall amplifiers instead. It's not that bad. Amazon lists it as $60. But I also said I would be willing to take less.

Something I've found really useful for black metal is the Marshall mini-amp. Get all the distortion you want out of pedals and the amp, run it through the mini-amp and you can get a pretty lo-fi sound.

I use a RAT pedal and a Spider IV with my mini-amp for black metal usually.

If you turn everything to max it sound ok for a pocket amp, but anything less is too little. Also, the clean channel might as well not exist.

If we're talking small, I like the little Marshal MS-2. It's both adorable, and surprisingly loud for the size, without inducing neighbor/roomie hatred. Plus you can plug headphones right into it.
