The worst thing the personal alarms do is shriek really really loudly, but I think that is reassuring if you want to just scare someone off. I think people think they’re literally just like rape whistles but I bought one of these. I don’t know if you’ve ever heard one but they are honestly so loud, like surprisingly loud for such a tiny thing. Like house alarm loud. I would recommended that. I always carry one with me now too, it would probably scare off anyone. (I hope)
