Gotcha! I used a Led Strip Light I bought off Amazon. They come in a roll and you can cut them to the exact length you need. There are a bunch of options! White, RGB, remote controlled, app controlled etc.. Here's what I used:

Most are 9v or 12v, and have the same power jacks that pedals use. So I plugged the lights into my power supply. They have an adhesive back to them but I used the cable management clips below to secure them to the board.

What camera do you use? And what type of leds? I used a regular iPhone camera and these were my leds. I’m no photographer but my best guess is the lights have a low frequency.

“Cheap 110V and 220V LED strips don't bother filtering the AC much before the feed it to the LEDs. The 50/60Hz AC causes the flicker. What you want is a constant-current DC driver for your LEDs. Then they will give steady light that will not show up as flicker on video. Perhaps you can find a friend with some electronics skill to re-wire the strips for you. It may be as simple as a filter capacitor across the LEDs”

This is one explanation I found online that might help you!

So I had to get creative for the back of the monitors as only one of them has a usb port, and I wanted to maintain the freedom of movement the monitor mount allowed, all while still remaining in my budget. I had to find a self contained, USB powered set, with cabling long enough to make it to the left monitor and still be cable-managed nicely. After some research I found a set that works well enough. When prime day came I bought it at a bit of a discount to keep it as cheap as possible. The desk lighting I found on this subreddit on another post.

Lol. I'm in this now. I am going to make a program that supports typical R / G / B / 12v 4 pin headers and the (DeepCool has it on their coolers, but its now pretty standard) 3 pin + power addressable RGB strips.

Like get a remind me for this. I am gonna make it happen.

Gonna use an Electron/NodeJS GUI for it and everything.

I'll begin with this project and go from there.

I will go as far as mapping each sound input and output device to any RGB strips connected to a PC.

Oh lord I'll even be using some of this code from the best rainmeter plugin there is.

Best part:

Things like these and thesewill be compatible.

Bed Lights

Light bulbs

You may be able to shop around a bit but this is the setup I used to get it going. The Bed lights are pretty easy to setup they have a peel off sticky part so you can tape them right onto your bed and the hue lights are cool cause you can control them from Alexa and have her change colors and also change lights based on the music and an app on your phone. I jokingly programmed my Alexa to dim the lights and play Red Red Wine when I say, “Alexa, we have company” Hope this helps!

Lifx Beam and just an RGB strip

You won't regret it. I just got a $10-$20 LED strip that comes with a receiver, power supply, and controller off Amazon. Basically something like this

Color Changing Light Strip, Nexlux 16.4ft Non-waterproof LED Light Strip 5050 SMD RGB LED Flexible Strip Light Black PCB Board Decoration Lighting 44 key IR Remote Controller UL Power Adapter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078S48ZTY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_En4XBb6TC6XTR. That should be all you need. I took the controller board out of the box, desoldered the plug for lights and power, soldered 2 small wires for power and ran them right to the barrel plug on the NES. I also soldered right to the led strip and to the board. I can get pics next time I take the NES apart. The lights will still work with a 9v power supply.
