B. While I have IBS and use/support CBD, I personally gained higher relief and more consistent digestive improvement with a prebiotic. I take Prebiotin, which has truly worked wonders. YMMV of course.

You may want to look at PREbiotics as well. While probiotics are the actual bacteria themselves, prebiotics are the foods that nourish your gut bacteria and help it flourish.
There's a question in the research about whether probiotic bacteria can even survive the trip through your (highly acidic) stomach and actually make it into your intestines. However prebiotics are mostly fibers and sugars that make the trip just fine.
I've been taking this stuff for about a year and it's made a noticeable difference in my symptoms.
