Turn your favorite street or fitness shoes into suede-soled dance shoes or replace worn-out suede soles on existing dance shoes.Don't worry about fussing with messy, smelly glues. No glue is needed for this product. Just trace the outline of your shoe soles on this sheet with a knife or with scissors, peel off the protective liner from the self-adhesive backing of these sheets, and apply your new self-made premium suede soles to your shoes. It is really that simple! This genuine suede product is made of natural cow skin, exactly like the suede soles of expensive dance shoes but for a small fraction of the price of expensive dance shoes. Natural suede soles are ideal for dancing on well maintained, studio-quality wood dance floors and should only be used on those floors. For dancing on non-wood floors, look for our products LOFRI and SULOFRI.Beware of cheap products made of synthetic materials, which are often marketed as "faux" or "eco" suede. "Faux" or "eco" suede may look like genuine suede but has entirely different and inferior friction properties when it comes to dancing on wood floors. Please select the color and the quantity of pre-packaged sheets (this listing offers packs of 1, 2, or 3 sheets) by clicking the appropriate color thumbnail, above. Note that packs of 2 or 3 sheets reflect a substantial discount over single-sheet packages.

I haven't tried moleskin, but I love this stick on suede. It's not $2 but it's not $30 either if you have prime.

I appreciate your detailed response! I do like the T430s back-lit chicklet keyboard that I have (likely the Chicony, I think) very much, but I think I'd like the non-back-lit version of it more for its textured key caps. The T420 keyboard seems like it has the kind of classic desktop keyboard texture that never wears out, unlike the non-back-lit chicklet keyboards.

How much do you notice the difference in comfort from having the soft-touch palmrest on the X1C6 vs your T420's plastic palmrest? I really do keep noticing the somewhat uncomfortable, "plasticy" feel of the T430s palmrest vs the cold metal feel of the magnesium palmrest on my S1 Yoga. I'm considering putting a custom suede skin on my T430s palmrest.

A fast-typing professional reviewer hit 109wpm on the X1C6 keyboard, which is the highest recorded number that I've seen on that website. So that tells me that while the newer keyboards have only 1.8mm of travel, they must have a firm and "clicky" action to make up for it. I've seen folks who are heavy typists complain that the new lower travel ThinkPad keyboards cause fatigue and pain over time for them. But I'm one who just automatically adjusts the amount of force that I use while typing to whatever keyboard that I'm currently on.

My S1 Yoga keyboard has smooth action, it's not bad. But at only 1.5mm of travel without heavy action, I think the newer 1.8mm keyboards would blow it away.

But as you said, the old keyboards with 2.5mm of travel cannot be beaten for comfort. I suspect the X1C6 keyboard can actually reach slightly higher words per minute for folks who can adjust to it, than the old 7-row keyboards simply because it takes slightly less time to actuate each key.

I'm sure I'd be in love with the X1C6 too if I had it in front of me. But for now I'm beginning my T430s (soon to be with T420 keyboard) love affair, which will likely end in me holding onto it for 10 more years, becoming a true curmudgeon just like folks still on the X61s.

Yes. You can also get them pre cut, but I prefer cutting myself for a better fit.
