One of the GW2 Devs said that he is using it THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU WON'T BE BANNED IF YOU CROSS THE LINE WITH MACROS, I just think that for a 35$ mouse it's pretty neat.

EDIT: It's on sale, check /u/yven313 post down below

I have used this for about a year now. 12 side buttons and an extra mouse click button. The red button I macroed to '`' since nothing in WoW uses it otherwise. Or at least I never noticed anything to be that. Also it has on the fly mouse sensitivity adjustment with the two buttons under the scroll wheel. Which if you don't care about, can be changed to something else.

My only criticism is I've had to clean/grease the leftclick's button to prevent it from double clicking. And the side button for 7 seems to have started to need more pressure lately to press. Might need some cleaning somehow. But for 35$ plus shipping, it is an excellent WoW mouse in my opinon.

Have a look at the RedDragonite M 901 Perdition. It's inexpensive and I'm completely satisfied with mine. Tons of buttons with good placement, the wave pattern on the num pad makes locating where your thumb is easy to do, up to 16400 DPI, and it has seven weights you can use to adjust the heft. Very well built and the scroll wheel is rubberized, large, and sturdy.

Good software too, profile switching, every button is programmable, and it does macros.

I used to have a Razer Naga Molten Edition mouse similar to this and I like this one a lot more. I really love this mouse for games. I've had it for about 4 years now and it hasn't given me any problems.

Hey man, I dunno if you'd rather just continue to encourage him to keep using his left or not, I dunno how the palsy works or if it's something you can train out of a person, but I would be remiss if I did not recommend a gaming mouse with a thumb keypad.

My personal favorite is the Reddragon Perdition, been using this guy for two years now and it's still going while similar options, like the razor Naga Epic and the Corsair Scimitar died on me after a year.

I've often thought that if I were to lose all functionality in my left hand for some reason, I could totally keep playing league with one hand using one of these.

But again, I dunno if giving him more functions for his right hand would be more helpful to him or if just slowly forcing himself to use his left would be better. I ain't no science-y smart guy doctor man, but I gotta feel like someone so young can still normalize the condition to the point where they gain effective functioning.

What kind of game(s) does he play? FPS, MMOs, MOBAs, etc? Just give names I guess? I am going to post a link to a keyboard and a mouse I purchased this year for not too much and they work great and I use my pc a good 8 hours a day.

Mouse

Keyboard

Both of these work great and together they cost 100 before taxes on Amazon. I recommend them for any type of PC gaming, no joke.

A friend of mine used a Naga for years and swore by it. It broke, and I bought him one of these as a present. $36. He'll never go back. As an aside, the OMRON microswitches in the mouse make it feel absolutely glorious.

Redragon Perdition

EDIT: Also, keypads can be great if you want to manage the camera separately with a hat button, but you have the problem that you start be almost completely unable to play any game if you don't have it with you.

I would recommend that instead you get used to ESDF for movement instead of WASD. It frees up an extra finger and puts your hand in range of 3 extra keys, as well as making shift more comfortable to hit with your pinky and alt easier to hit with your thumb.

EDIT 2: You could also consider grabbing a mechanical keyboard. Get one with the switches you like the feel of the most. Go to a store and try out all the different switch types and then find a deal when you can. It'll set you back $80-$140 bucks though.

Idk i personally like my mouse because it has extra buttons, I use a razer naga. (You can also use knock off brands to safe money https://www.amazon.com/Redragon-PERDITION-High-Precision-Programmable-programmable/dp/B00LSERFA0 )

There are plenty like this for example they made a version of it targeted at mobas called razer hex.

But tbh I think you can use any mouse, dota doesn't require much more than a buttload of knowledge.

Need to order a new keyboard and probably mouse by the end of the weekend. I'm looking for a mechanical board for 100-120ish with backlighting. I currently have a http://www.a4tech.nl/item.aspx?id=7570 mouse and absolutely love the shape/design/size so i'd really like one with the same thumb rest at least and possibly the 4th finger rest. Needs to have atleast 2 thumb buttons.Looking for a $15-$60 mouse, whatever is a great deal. No MIR's please.
This one peaked my interest.http://www.amazon.com/Redragon-Perdition-Precision-Programmable-programmable/dp/B00LSERFA0/ref=sr_1_28?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1411756991&sr=1-28&keywords=gaming+mouse+white I also have a corsair white case so white peripherals get bonus points but isn't required.

I wouldn't trust it, The cheapest gaming mouse I have ever bought is the Redragon M901 for a little under $40. I am pretty sure you wont be able to get a good quality gaming mouse for anything under that. My mouse's tend to last 18 months, and the Redragon is no different.

Leveling is pretty easy and straightfoward.. Specs all work leveling just about besides healing..

There are 2 categories of players.
Causuals
Hardcore (competent)

Casuals players have ruined most of what "wow" was but you can still get a great amount from the game.

Here are some things you should do if you choose to get in said "Wow"

    1. Learn your class. This generally comes through leveling on learning the basics. But take time go to Elitiesjerks.com and look up your rotation practice it ( for raiders) there is no excuse for not knowing it when this information is at your finger tips ( and you dont want to pay for a game you refuse to learn).. to many people do that already.
      *
    1. Pvp is a different story, you not only need to know your class. You also need to know your burst windows and cc ( crowd control which means loss of control of character) rotations. These take along time i mean a long time to get it set to reaction and not having to think about what to do while something is happening to you. If you get to the point where you just simply REACT to everything that is happening to you in a arena match.. you are off to a very good start.

    1. Collectibles, pet battles, achievement hunting is mostly done by casuals not saying you can't be hardcore and do it but if that is what you 95% of the time you play don't expect to be taken seriously or to get in any group that is decent at raiding or Pvp.

    1. Professions are almost worthless because of garrison that has been added to Wow. I personally don't have any leveled and still make plenty of gold so if you don't want to you don't have to waste your time.

    1. DO NOT CLICK. DO NOT KEYBOARD TURN. it will do nothing but hurt you and form very bad habits. The second you log on Wow switch A and D to Strafe for you key bindings. you want to about 90% of the time hold down your right mouse button to turn right and left.

    1. Keybindings. I personally use http://www.amazon.com/Redragon-Perdition-Precision-Programmable-programmable/dp/B00LSERFA0 So my binds are easier but i use these buttons for every class i play i currently have 7 100s.

  • 1-12
  • Shift+ 1-12
  • Alt+2
  • Q,R,E,Z,X,C,V
  • Shift+ Q,R,E,Z,X,C,V
  • Mousewheel up
  • Mousewheel Down

That can all seem very daunting i am sure if you have not played MMO's before. But if you just do 1 at a time while leveling
say you just bind "Q" to your first main move you use that over and over pretty soon its memorized and you go to the next button.

Last.. DONT STAND IN THE FIRE.... JUST DON'T

My experience? 10 years of playing 2400+ rating in arena ( which is pretty good not godly but not easy)

I do hope you choose to play wow i have loved and hated it for the past 10 years but i am still playing. But please
take the time to learn the game you pay for that is all i ask.
