I had picked the Crucial MX500 because I wasn't sure the 850 evo was worth the extra 18€. If you want a Samsung SSD anyway, get the newer 860 EVO.

I understand that RAM is a bit expensive but there is an actual benefit to having dual channel memory. It's fine if you don't want it, but you should know this to make an informed decision.

[This is what I got, installed it the other week.](Samsung 250 GB 860 EVO Sata III 64L V NAND Solid State Drive,MZ-76E250B/EU https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B078WQJXNF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ndlCDbDE6G5JX)

Samsung SSDs are on the pricier end of the spectrum, but are generally the fastest and most reliable, not that the cheaper options like Western Digital or SanDisk will be bad on any way.

Pretty sure that's a DRAM-Less SSD. I'd go with an 860 Evo.

without ref link

Also available in Media Markt for 64€ (would link but I am on mobile currently)

Lol I obviously meant to write 71 and 63 euros in the title and not 163...

> 250GB solid state drives here in the UK average the £100-250 mark.

Can't help with a 2TB for $60 (because it doesn't exist), but you can get a 250GB Samsung 860 Evo for under £60 on Amazon right now.

I still have a few questions I hope you don't mind answering.
Why is the i5-8600k just as good or better than i7-7700k yet almost £100 cheaper on amazon?
Also is this the correct 860 evo ssd? https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B078WQJXNF/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1_1_5?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1 partpicker directs me to some weird more expensive one. Thank you.

The Samsung 860 Evo is probably the best on the market in its price range:

For around £10-15 more than the cheapest, I feel it’s worth the extra for it’s almost guaranteed reliability. But it’s hardly faster (if at all) than the cheaper £55-60 ones. Any SSD is better than no SSD.

250GB gets you at least 4 of your favourite games installed on it. No need for larger in my opinion, prices are constantly reducing anyway.

You just need a USB 3.0 2.5” SATA enclosure. Many other people have been linking them here. Should cost no more than £5-10.

Does it work? Yes. So much evidence on this sub alone. Most retailers such as Amazon will refund it no problem if you’re not happy anyway.

Negligible, I bought a 250GB drive and a USB caddy. The idea is whatever I'm currently playing is installed on the SSD.

The 250GB is enough for a few games or a couple of really big ones. (I had RDR2 on there for a bit which was a big space eater)

Probably about £50. (I'd have to dig through my orders to get the prices)

Larger SSDs I use on my pc and laptop.

You don't have to replace your drive, you can just put the SSD in a caddy if you don't mind permanently using up a USB port. That way you've still got the storage of the original PS4 drive for anything that doesn't need the SSD speed. (indies etc)

EDIT:

For example, usb caddy £7.89.

Samsung 250GB SSD £49.59

> J'aimerais me racheter un SSD + un HDD pour mon PC fixe. Mon SSD actuel est vraiment trop petit et tout le temps saturé, j'aimerais un truc autour de 250Go pour mettre système + data qui doivent tourner vite vite (musique en temps réel par exemple). Est-ce une taille correcte ou me fourré-je le doigt dans l'oeil ?

Non c'est parfait pour windows + qq jeux. Moi j'ai pris ça sur mon nouveau pc et je suis très content. Perso j'ai pris :
