You're right, and of course I have had a few people be understanding. The only problem then is that the more understanding they are, the more I feel like a dick for using the space. I'm a fit young guy and feel like nobody really believes me when I talk about pains like an old man, even if mine are self-inflicted by not going to enough physical therapy...
Until I get old enough or bold enough to not feel like an ass taking up the whole armrest, I'll just continue asking if they'd like to use this thing with me. Fingers crossed I sit next to you on my next trip, haha!
