I'm using these Isolation pads. They seem to do the trick. Here's what they look like with my system.

More speakers doesn't equal more immersive. When buying sound equipment a lot of the value comes from things not properly listed on specifications, such as total range frequency within a certain amount of total harmonic distortion.

A good set of studio monitors is a better sound solution than most people have ever owned.

Assuming your motherboard isn't using a really poor audio chipset and you are using a high quality audio source they will sound pretty good. If you want to hit frequencies below 70Hz with significant volume I suggest adding a dedicated subwoofer of 10" minimum, although 12-15" is more ideal.

I just grabbed some cheaper Studio Solution pads ($18 for a pair as opposed to $45 for Auralex brand) from Amazon at a fraction of the cost and I've been perfectly happy with them.

Simple foam would likely produce the same result, but I liked that these were shaped and angled in a way that I could angle my monitors if-needed.

Yeah, LSR305s. The isolation foams are just some inexpensive ones I ordered off of Amazon. They work very well, for the price. Also, I doubled up on them to function as risers, since I couldn't find an appropriate sized stand to match.

So my current setup is:

Grab some stands or an angled foam pad. Iso Acoustic is the only brand I know making these stands, but I literally haven't tried looking harder. If that's a bit too steep for you then these will work as well. Apart from that, keep them away from your walls and you should be fine.

You can also look into room correction, a UMIK-1 from Minidsp runs a bit under $100 and Room EQ Wizard is free.

Cheap is fine.

Hell, you can also cut up a yoga pad if you got one lying around.

hi, first you wanna check where the speakers are standing, in corners or closer than 15cm to a wall is a bad idea with the cr4´s. if that doesn´t help get an equalizer, either as a program if your using a pc, or an analogue eq between dac and speakers and tune the lower frequencies to your liking. but i guess with better placement your results should be much better.

on that note get speaker stands, or at least some foam wedges, those improve sound quality a lot
