It’s just your basic swivel head ratchet. Here’s an affordable one that should be pretty sturdy.
Otherwise just search swivel head ratchet and knock yourself out!
> the quality of the ratchets that you linked to
There are videos of people on youtube doing stupid things to them, including breaking a Snap On 15mm socket.
>I have these
You mean this? Or this?
You can't tell me that those didn't all come out of the same factory.
>I have no real need for imperial sizes or 12 point sockets
I do, but only in certain circumstances; I work on some old American cars, and a lot of American lawn equipment that uses SAE ("Imperial" is sort of out of date, since the Empire went metric :) ), and clutch plate bolts are often 12 point.
>Sounds like you know what you want out of your tools.
Well, I have a decent set (my current set is shown here if you want to see how much I carry around, and why I am looking for a better second box :) ), and I know what I would like to have.
I'm still trying to figure out why all of the sets have 12 points 1/2" drive sockets; even the 1/2" chrome pittsburgh pro sockets are 12 point. I suppose it would matter more if they weren't the exact same sizes as the 3/8" set....
Other than that, I figure that the impact sockets will be at least as tough as anything else that I could buy, and that's what really sold me on the piecemeal set: That composite ratchet is alleged to be almost unbreakable (one account of the handle snapping before the teeth gave, a video of one breaking a Snap On socket), and with cro-moly impacts, at least the 1/2" set should be truly professional grade.
That being said, here's a chrome deep well being used on an impact gun.
I'm really only worried about the wrenches :)
